Gatsby was a mama's boy. He didn't like to have his schedule disrupted and would prefer not to have company. But, above all he hated going to the vet and hearing the vaccuum.

Arrival Story:
The guy that worked on my car found a stray cat that was pregnant. He took her in and I adopted all three of her babies. Gatsby was the protector of them all. I was a true sucker for the kittens (they were 3 days old the first time I saw them)

Bio:
Gatsby lived almost 12 happy years with me. In March he had his annual check up and was not acting like the "tough-guy" he normally does and had lost a little weight. After some more tests we found out his liver wasn't functioning right. He was a good boy and took his meds, but sadly his liver gave out on Mother's Day 2006. I had taken him to the vet b/c he seemed to have an upset stomach, but he was actually dying. When the vet called I rushed back to hold him in his final moment. (he even tried to get up to get to me when he saw me) I can still feel his presnce late at night.

My sweet, devoted boy! You are so missed. Even everyone you hissed and growled at miss you. It's not the same waking up without you in the morning. I know you are playing with Rudy and Anastasia at the Rainbow Bridge while watching over me. I am so glad you blessed me with choosing me to be the mom 12 years ago. Love you always, your Mama
