Arrival Story:
Roxy was found at the local race track when she was about 4 weeks old. Our neighbours asked us to look after her, just till she got bigger and could return to the race track....that was on July 29, 1998 and, well, she is likely asleep on my bed right now!
Bio:
I believe that Roxy was sent to us by Smokey after he went to the Rainbow Bridge. Even the time of her birth coincided with Smokey's passing and I feel like she was truly MY rescuer!
Today, on Tuesday, September 8, 2009, our dear sweet little angel went to the Rainbow Bridge to join her brother Smokey. What we thought was a flare up of inflammatory bowel disease, was an advanced state of congestive heart failure and pulmonary edema. My poor little girl could not catch a breath and when we were given our options the only thing we could bear to do was to ease her discomfort and let her rest peacefully.......I pray that she understands why she is not with her meowmie and dabdy tonight and hope that she will watch for us at the Rainbow Bridge. We love you and miss you so much Roxy and our lives are now so empty without you here. I love you Rox. xxoo

Our beloved little girl left us so very, very suddenly one week ago today. She brought SO much life and joy into our lives and we are heartbroken and lost without her. We look for her in every room. We hear her meows and cherish every bit of fur that we can now find. We can't bear to wash her blankies - one still holds her shape as it was the last one she was curled up on before we went to the vets for what we had hoped was just something to get her eating again. It was only after exrays that we learned how critically ill she was. We could not keep her with us, suffering as she was and making the decision to send her to the Rainbow Bridge to be with her big brother and all the wonderful furbabies who have crossed our paths, was the hardest, most painful decision we have ever made....
Dear sweet Roxanna - We hope you are running and playing with Smokey and he is showing you all of the sunny spots to lie in. We hope you hear us talking to you each and every day and you can still feel our love. You were such a good, good girl, Roxanna. You truly did make our house a home. It is empty and lonely without you, honey. Having to learn to live without you is torture. We thought we heard you last night....was it you telling us you are ok? We hope you are and we will be so happy when we see you again at the Rainbow Bridge. Love forever and always, your mommy and daddy. A million kisses and a billion hugs, dear sweet angel girl.
