Arrival Story:
Shizzie was formerly named "Sizzle" because he is "hot" orange and white long-haired. He belonged to another humane organization other than the one I worked with and was in the cages I maintain for our organization, "PAWS" with "my" cats. He was very affectionate toward me and hated being in the cage where he couldn't head-bonk people. He was in the cages for months. I finally whined and cried enough and my husband said "Oh, for God's Sake, bring him HOME already!!" So, I did! Shizzie is ten years old and a very dignified gentleman. For those who didn't give him a chance and didn't adopt him because of his age, their loss is our gain!
Bio:
Shizzie thinks he is a funny looking little dog or my (3) dogs are funny looking big cats. He head bonks my dogs, a husky-shepherd, a Springer Spaniel and a Golden Retriever. His favorite is the husky-shepherd (also a rescue) and if the dog is in the mood, she will even let Shizzie lay down with her. They kiss and cuddle each other.
Shizzie went to The Bridge on March 12, 2007. He had kidney failure and it would have been cruel to keep him alive after he was such a good cat to us. Shizz was a wonderful "starter cat"--he was a lap cat, a purr-er, well-behaved and beautiful. I know he's making someone in Heaven very happy and keeping their lap very warm!
