Arrival Story: Holly was found during Christmas holiday at my mom's house. Due to allergies, they could not keep her. I was already renowned for my love of cats, so they made me take her. She hated the ride in the laundry basket (I had no carrier with me). I let her out after an hour of incessant yowling. She crawled into my arms and laid there the remaining 3 hours. She was actually skinny when I got her... boy has THAT changed! She is not a very long cat. In fact.. I think she is wider than she is long.
This is a very hard one to write, even though it has been nearly a year since a terrible thing happened. When I was in California visiting my sister, the man I once trusted and had married did a terrible thing. He took nine of my beloved babies and just dumped them. Sadly, this beloved furkid was among those taken. I was only able to find one of them - Meio. I hope and pray that they found homes, but I may never know for sure. Not knowing has been so hard. It has been difficult even returning to catster, as seeing their lovely faces still pains me greatly. I've always had many cats and they were well taken care of. If you pray, please do so for my missing babies.
Since this is such a painful thing to write, I am copying this to the diaries of all my missing babies: Bear, D.C., Dart, Holly, Kimba, Kizzy, Kozmo and Princessa.
I have a job. I'm very important to meowmy. I don't think she could function without me! Well.. maybe she could. She said my help is not needed right now. You see.. I'm a bed warmer. Meowmy's feet get cold. I can't just ignore that! Apparently the weather is warmer now and she doesn't need my help. What am I going to do??
I wonder if the cat food companies could use a taste tester?
Meowmy tried to kill me! I swear she did! And I have the video and photos to prove it!
There I was.. eating (which I love to do) and minding my own business. Meowmy sweeps me up and pets me. I think all is well and I'm in for a nice petting session. But what happened next totally took my by surprise. She started walking to the bathroom. I like to follow her in there when she does her business, so I didn't worry. I should have been worried. I should have fought for my life. I should have scratched and yowled. Before I knew it, she had plopped me down into *gasp* WATER!! A great big bowl full of water!!
I didn't fight very much. It was nice and warm and sort of felt good. I'm not overweight. I'm underlength! (Did I mention I love food?) Well this causes problems. I can't quite reach my behind, you see. So keeping it clean presents some problems. Meowmy can't feed us individually, so I get away with eating as much as I like. So during this horrible experience, she did help me out a bit and got my backside nice and clean! My fur was nice and clean, too. Maybe that's why she threw me in the water? I mean.. Meowmy never did try and dunk me or anything.
Whatever you do, stay out of the bathroom!!
