My Food

Gimme and Miles wrote about their food yesterday so I'm joining in today.

Of course I eat the same food that Miles does - California Natural. And I eat a LOT of it for a tall, thin cat. I never gain weight which is sorta odd, but I'm very healthy. I just have a high metabolism.

I have my own container for my yummy food because Daddy doesn't like to carry bags in and out of my room. And since I live alone, I get my own bowl of food too! So far I've been eating the Chicken and Brown Rice. I heard that the others are eating No Grain Chicken, but I haven't tried it yet. They tell me it tastes very good, though, so when I run out of the rice type I'm going to have it.

For treats I eat Temptations. Allie can't have those because to her they are like kitty crack. She gets hyper and crazy because of the grain in them. But I love them and highly recommend them as a dessert treat.

Friday

I didn't have a good day on Friday. Some people came to clean the house and when they came into my room I jumped behind the armoire.

D'oh! I forgot I can't get out of there. Mama came in a few hours later and called me. She could hear me calling "ack, ack" so she figured that's where I was.

Daddy came in to move it but he didn't move it far enough. I heard him tell Mama he couldn't find me. So then I panicked thinking they wouldn't keep trying. I tried to climb underneath to see if I could get out that way, but my head got stuck.

Mama came back with him and told him I'm not as skinny as he thought, so he moved it some more and they helped me unstick my head. Whew! I was worn out after that so I rested the rest of the day and got lots of dried tuna treats.

Mama's going to buy some plywood, and block off the top of the armoire so I don't forget and jump down there again.

Late Birthday Present!

Mama and Daddy didn't know what to get me, so at first I got some dried tuna, which I LOVE! Well Mama noticed I have room in my new room for a water fountain, so today I got my very own Drinkwell! I'm so happy with it. Now I shouldn't run out and it'll be filtered too.

I have Mama's rocking chair in my room and it has blankets in it that my Grandma who was my first mama, crocheted. So I can lay on them and remember her too! It's all very snuggly.

Molly is very happy these days. She's gotten old enough and brave enough to try anything! MOL! She takes after me and Gimme for sure. Daddy still calls her Weasel because of her unfortunate overbite. It does look a little like a weasel. MOL!

Happy Birthday To Me!!

It's my 9th birthday and I got a big cake from Gimme and a cuppycake from my best male friend Calvin!

I plan to nap a lot, spend some time with Mama this afternoon and have Fancy Feast for supper. Everycat stay cool out there!

Happy Foummmm of MMMly!

I'm hiding under my big pink bed, but I'll stick my head out long enough to write my diary.

Last night when Mama and Daddy came to tell me good night, I came crawling out from under there. MOL! It's on the floor so I have a soft place to sleep and I tunneled under it when the fireworks started.

Today there have been fireworks all day, so when Daddy checked on me, he lifted the bed and there I was! I gave him a dirty look to put the bed back.

My Gimme is moving this week to Georgia. Poor thing does not know what a long car ride it's going to be. But at least it's not as long as the one we took to Missouri.

And my birthday is this week too. I think I'm going to be 9. Daddy was surprised I'm that old already. I look young.

Well, I'm going to climb under my bed for the night. Molly takes after her daddy Gimme - she's been watching the fireworks from the window.

FDA Investigating Nutro

Please be aware that many pet owners have reported that Nutro food has made their cats and dogs sick or sent them to the bridge. The FDA is investigating. After the other pet food companies solved their problems, Nutro continues to have recalls.

My Room

My room has been a mess ever since we moved in. So today Mama and Daddy came back and opened boxes and put away stuff. It's starting to look a LOT better now.

I sat on top of the armoire smiling and supervising. Every other cat had to come look in my litter box. WTC??? It's just a litterbox.

Molly won't spend the night with me anymore. :-( But I do allow my door to be open sometimes so I still get to see her often. She's growing so much and I'm happy to say she's all girl unlike her Aunt Allie who has always been a tomboy. I was a little worried about Allie's influence on her.

Anyway, I love my room. I have a printer stand in the window and the sun comes in most of the day so I sleep there a lot! And we rearranged, so I have bookcases I can also climb on.

HARRY!

He just scares the poo out of me. Litterally, this morning!

Mama came in to get something and dumb Harry dodged around her and got in. It's taken him a couple of years, but he's figuring out how to scoot around her.

So she decided since I was on my bed, she'd leave the door open a while and see how it went.

It was ok until I had to use the litterbox. I jumped down and he came galumphing over, which scared me. So I huddled on the floor and called for Mama to come rescue me.

Of course, the poo didn't stay inside since I was scared, so Daddy cleaned it up for me. Mama pushed Harry out the door with her foot. He knew he was in trouble then and he'd better leave.

He doesn't do anything to me anymore, but I freak when he comes close.

Mama's had a busy day with cat poo. Molly booby-trapped the bedroom for her too. Poor Mama.

I'm Hiding in the Closet

Mama and Daddy came into my room and started packing! I loved it until Daddy decided to leave the door open and Harry raced up to kiss me. Blech!

So Mama put me in the closet so I wouldn't have to keep hissing and growling at him. I did appreciate that because he just makes me nervous.

I don't mind the packing. I'm always ready for a new adventure as long as Harry's not involved. Mama assured me that Molly and I have our own travel crate so he can't get to us on the long road trip.

We get to keep our beds until the last day and of course our food and dishes and some toys. Our winter blankies all got packed today though. Mama has to finish the main part of the room, then close the door and pack the closet. It mostly has office supplies in it.

Molly Again

Sorry, but I'm a proud new catmom.

I was thinking about our friends on Catster who get aggravated when a new kitten comes into the house because the kitten wants to play with them too much. Molly has never done that.

She is very polite and treats each cat according to what they want. Of course it might help that Harry is more than willing to play with her anytime she feels like it. But I've been so impressed with her sensitivity.

She looks out the window or naps with Miles and only runs with him when he invites her. She follows Allie around which is making Allie's head extremely big. *rolls eyes* Flattery will get you everywhere with Allie. And she plays with Murray when he invites her or joins him on the cat tree and they bat at each other. He likes that.

Daddy Murray sent her to us, I'm sure. He did a good job as usual!
