All About Me!

Like Mother, Like Daughter

Molly stayed out in the main part of the house all afternoon and evening. I heard she came out and hissed at everybody a couple of times, but then would run under the bed again.

So tonight Mama and Daddy had to drag her out from under the bed, and of course she ran from side to side where they couldn't reach her. Finally Daddy got her out with some salmon.

Then they brought her home to me, and couldn't find ME! I was sleeping on top of the armoire and fell down behind it because there's just enough space there for a cat. But I can't get back out when that happens!

So Daddy had to move the heavy armoire to let me out. I think Molly and I are going to sleep well tonight. Probably Mama and Daddy are too!

Tomorrow Daddy is going to nail a piece of wood on top of the armoire so I can't fall down there again.

Daily Diary Pick!

My diary about Molly going behind the freezer got picked! Yayayay!

Thank you to all my friends who sent rosettes and pmails and comments! I love all of you.

Molly is doing so well! She got spayed and was sore for a couple of days, but now she's feeling much better. Mama and I are teaching her to play. Mama found an old-fashioned pointer (not laser) and used it like a wand to get Molly to bat at it. Molly loves it because it's shiny, she can chew on it, and it's not big enough to overwhelm her.

She's been batting at some of the balls we have on the floor for her and now we're trying to show her how a turbo scratcher works. She loves watching the ball, but doesn't feel sure enough to push it yet. She did scratch the middle, though!

And she lets me kiss her and sit next to her. She's still a little scared of snuggling with me, but she snuggles with Mama like a pro. We spent awhile looking out the window together today.

And she's growing too! She's bigger than a week ago for sure. The girl can eat.

Mama says we have a kitten with PTSD. Molly was wrestling on Mama's lap last night and pulled her incision, and it hurt her. So then today she was afraid to let Mama pick her up at first. We had to work with her a little bit to convince her it was ok. I climbed on Mama's lap to show her how much fun snuggling is and she finally got brave again.

I am one proud kitty mama! *blows kisses to Gimme*

D'oh!

I forgot how kittens could be. Molly thought she was stuck behind the freezer so that's what most of the meowing was about. She wasn't really stuck, but she didn't seem to know how to get out! MOL

Allie did that behind the refrigerator when she was younger too. So Daddy came and moved the freezer and got her out. Mama calmed her down, and we blocked the entrance she was using so she can't get back there anymore.

So the rest of the night was peaceful. But the language that girl knows! She meows like a sailor when she's mad. Must take after Gimme.....
