indoors Arrival Story: Miette was among a litter of kittens born at a local steel mill. She was so sweet that I just couldn't stand the thought of leaving her out there. I feed the others who are still there. She was one of the few who would come running to me and let me pet her. She wasn't interested in the food when it was poured out, she wanted to be petted. For a stray, this was unusual. Bio: Miette has become very attached to me now. She likes to follow me around the house. If given the chance, she will climb into my shorts during my time on the litterbox. She also loves to drink the water that collects after I shower. For some reason, she has a strange fascination with doors. She loves to sit atop doors. She also has a fascination with D. C., in a different way. They taunt each other. He runs through the house, she chases. They do it so much that they apparently get on each other's nerves. She is such a sweety. Lives Remaining: 9 of 9 Forums Motto: You're not the boss of me!!! Yup.. I've finally been recognized fur my skills as an author by being chosen as Daily Diary Pick! Yeah... I'm sure they are going to present me with some major award. They haven't yet, but they must be getting it engraved or something. If only people could understand what I'm saying all the time. I am filled with so many wonderful thoughts and ideas, but they seem to get lost in translation. When commenting on who the best writer is in the house, I say something like "It's me! Now that's perfect." Meowmy doesn't understand, though. She just hears, "Hiss, meow, purr, pfft!"
Thank you furry much fur the recognition! Now if only we can get humans to understand us.
I don't know what has gotten into meowmy, but she has started scaring me. It looks like she is possessed! She'll be sitting there, and then suddenly her arm will jerk and swing wildly. As soon as she does it, I jump away. I'm startled easily, so why take the chance? I don't think she is trying to hurt us or anything.
She keep blaming it on us, though. How could it be our fault? Yes, we can control her to some degree. We wake her up in the middle of the night if we run out of kibble. We demand pettings when we want them. How do we make her do all that jumping around, though? She says over and over that it was because of the we.
I don't know who the "we" is, but it better not be a new kitty wanting to move into my new house. Oh.. I haven't told you about my new house yet, have I? It's just the right size for me, so the big brofurs can't really get in there and attack me. I think it looks pretty cool, too! It's all black and has silvery lettering on it that says either iiM or Wii. I think iiM for "in, in, Miette." Otherwise it would be Wii, which is silly. Why not just say "why?" Oh.. ii makes ee sound?? You humans are furry horrible at language, you know that?
Anyway.. Settle down, meowmy. You scared mii!
Purrs,
Miiette?? I guess that's how you spell it now.
There is this little red bug tat I just love to chase. It only comes out when this silver thing with a jingly chain comes out of hiding. It like to hide in this cup with a bunch of pens in it that Meowmy keeps by her bed. Meowmy has to hold that silver thing before the red bug comes out.
I figured I would help Meowmy out by getting that silver thing out, so I fished (no,they aren't fish.. or even fish pens.. and there is no water involved.. uh.. nevermind.. back to the story) the silver thing out of the cup. Meowmy heard it jingle when it hit the table, so she looked over. I guess she thought I was just walking on it and it was in my way or something, so she picked it up and put it back in the pen cup. So I started digging through the cup again and pulled it out. Meowmy heard the "click" of the little chain hitting the table. What did she do?? She put it back in the cup again. She thought she didn't put it in the cup very well and I knocked it out by accident. Uh, Meowmy?? Are you really that dense? So I had to dig it out yet again.
She finally got the hint and made the red bug come out. But did I get to chase it? Nooooo. That is totally not fair. I had done all the work while Digit was all curled up in Meowmy's lap. He sure woke up when the bug showed up, though! I don't always trust him, so I just sat by while he got to chase my bug. Totally not fair!
Well.. Meowmy did make sure that I got to chase it, too, but still.
