Arrival Story:
We lost our 17 year old black cat in June of 1996. A friend told us of a litter of kittens at a stable of which one had the Siamese markings. On July 5, 1996 we went out to see the kittens, not necessarily to take one home. Scooter snuggled up to us and had the loudest purr that I had ever heard. He came home with us that very day.

Bio:
When Scooter was a little kitten his paw was pinched in a closing door that my Husband had just walked through, and Scooter has never forgiven him to this day! He runs and hides when Dad comes into a room.

Leaving home is scary!

Last weekend my Mom caught me and put me into the carrier. I was NOT happy. I don't understand why she thinks this is fun? Then she took me over to visit the cats that live with my other Mom (my first Mom's daughter) and I was NOT happy again. First I tried to stay in my carrier and hide, but they took the top off. Those other cats sat on different sides of me and stared at me. I was NOT happy. Then another person came into our house and pet me, and that was the end of it for me. I escaped under the couch and stayed there for the rest of the visit.

At one point the grey cat tried to sniff me, but I growled and hissed and she backed off. The black cat just spent his time staring at me as if he was sizing me up. I know I'm bigger than both of them, but I don't like cats! After all, I'm not a cat! Why would I want to hang out with other cats?

Finally the people decided to corner me and I was NOT happy, but I soon realized that the carrier was put back together so I escaped into its dark confines. Then Mom took me home and let me go into the house. Unfortunately she forgot to open the basement door and I really had to go potty! I meowed and meowed until someone realized something was wrong and opened the door. Ahhhhhhh! I felt better then.

Mom tells me that I'm going to be living with the black and grey cats for a few weeks coming up, and I'm NOT happy about it. I hope something happens before then and I can stay in my own house. We'll see. For now I'm happy just hanging out and trying to get my Mom out of bed at 6:30 even though I know she doesn't have to go to work anymoore! Hee hee, I'll get even for her taking me to the other house!
