Arrival Story:
It was May--finals week coming up. My husband and I were still feeling a little depressed about losing another kitten. We went to the cat show just to see a friend of ours who was a breeder and also the "Grandma" of our Merlin and Rambo. Just inside the door, was a cage of half-breed kittens for $50. Seems the father, a Triple Grand Champion Burmese, had gotten out of his cage when the cattery owners were away for a long weekend. He bred both a Maine Coon and an Abyssian queen. Taz was one of the kittens that resulted from that breeding. Being raised by their four year old, Taz was ready for anything. He made eyes at us and when we got hold of him his motor went turbocharged. I wasn't sure it was a good idea. We ended up leaving and coming back twice before we got Taz. I never regretted it.
