He recognizes the sound of a can being opened, and will always run over to see if I'm opening a can of tuna--since he loves the tuna water; he knows how to open the cupboards;

Arrival Story:
I was at a local Petco, shopping for my boyfriend's cat, when I heard a little girl saying, "free kittens!" I found myself unable to contain my curiosity, and walked over to two little girls, their mother, and a shopping cart with two kittens inside. I immediately fell in love with Turnip--even more so when he fell asleep in my arms. I knew I had to take him home. The girls told me that they preferred to keep the kittens together, since they were brother and sister, and so I ended up going home with Turnip's sister, Pepper as well.

Bio:
Turnip is a very friendly cat, and has no problem saying hello to new people. He loves been pet, especially on his stomach. Along with being extremely sweet, he is also very patient: he lets me cuddle and snuggle him as long as I want, even if he's trying to take a nap; he doesn't mind it (usually) when I try to put a hat on him; and he will always let me pick him up in my arms even if he would rather stay on the ground. He is adorable, and I love him very much.

Meow Meow! My name is Turnip, and I am a new member on Catster.com. I hope to meet a lot of new friends while I am here--Mommy made this account because she was missing me while on vacation. She has gone back home to visit her parents, so Pepper and I are staying with Daddy. We miss Mommy a lot, but she will be home in August!

I am a two year-old, orange-and-white Tabby cat. I live in California, with my Mommy, Daddy, and sister Pepper. I still remember the day Pepper and I adopted Mommy and Daddy. Back then, Pepper and I were only two months old and living with a host family. Our host family thought that it would be a good idea to give us to a family that needed a little excitement in their lives. So, Pepper and I said good-bye to our Mama, and we went off on our journey to find our new parents.

That day, Mommy had let her baby bird fly free. She was taking care of it after it had fallen out of a tree. She fed it and gave it a warm place to sleep, but apparently it wanted to go outside and live with other birds. Mommy was sad, but she knew letting her bird go was for the best. When she came to buy supplies with Daddy, our host family called out to them and they came right over! Mommy was oohing and ahhing over me, and when she held me she felt so warm and comfy that I fell asleep! And that was enough for Mommy to want to take me home--and well, where I went, Pepper would have to come along too. And Mommy and Daddy were perfectly happy with that!

I have been living with Mommy and Daddy at their apartment ever since. I used to be very naughty--I scratched up the carpet and chewed up Mommy and Daddy's computer cords. They spent a lot of money trying to replace their wires--but I don't chew them anymore. There is a weird, sour taste on the wires nowadays and I hate getting it on my tongue! I wonder what it is?

Nowadays I just spend my days sleeping wherever Mommy is, and eating. I love to eat! I eat when I am hungry, and I eat when Pepper is eating...and I eat when Mommy and Daddy are eating too! I can eat all day!

That's a little about me. I can't wait to meet you all!
