Pass the Tissues!

Mama's secret sister from church continues to be my second most favorite human around. I do say this with a bit of caution, because I don't think I've ever met her and I'm probably going to hide and hiss at her if she ever came to visit.

However, she knows how to pick out gifts that are sure to please! First she sent us catnip, then she sent us fancy treats and catviar (that Mama said looked like bunny poo to her), then she sent us cat toys.

This month Mama came home with a pretty bag with water and dolphins on it and she put it on the bed. I was napping nearby, so I didn't do much more than a cursory sniff. Smelt like chocolate, and no one messes with Mama and her chocolate!

Sure enough, Secret Sister got Mama some Easter candy (and while she didn't give us a real bunny, she did give us a curiously green eating bunny. Have you heard of a green bunny? Yeah, didn't pass my sniff test either but Mama says it was "ok") and some cat stickers.

And the tissues! Mama says they weren't really part of the gift. She says humans use huge, colored pieces of tissues to decorate packages. While it seems silly to me, what is not silly to me is that

Mama put the tissues on the floor and said "have fun, Mackenzie!

Oh my cat - can you say crinkly tissues? Crinkly bags? Oh my catness - the blue and white tissues make the best toys ever! Mama says its safer than playing with plastic bags, but what do I care. It crinkles! It wrinkles! I can leap on it and slide and make all sorts of noises!

Mama put a couple pieces on the bed today when she left to go to the shelter. I made quite sure that Sebastian didn't get NEAR it!

Shortie has even gotten into the act. She discovered that tissue is fun to chew, nibble, and toss, and, since she is black all over, she chose one of the bright white pieces. Mama said it was cute to see her attack it, but that cleaning up her "confetti" will not be fun at all!

Secret Sister outdid herself this month!
