Orange & White Tabby

Watching birdies and chasing Mr. Kitty

Being forced to go back inside; humans telling me what to do; Mommy kissing me too much!

Favorite Toy:
Feather toys, Make-up brushes (the expensive ones-hehe)

Favorite Nap Spot:
In the cradle that Bluie gave me. Well, actually it was for Mr. Kitty, but I snagged it from him. Thanks, Bluie!

Favorite Food:
It used to be black beans and tuna, but now I'm only allowed to have my Royal Canin Sensitivity. I had been having tummy troubles, and now I feel better!

I can fetch a ball, play tag, and eat a bug with lightening speed.

Arrival Story:
I found this silly orange guy on the internet and went to see him in Brooklyn. The breeder said he was "very playful," which I now know is code for "He's an enormous brat!" Apollo is the boss of the house and he lets you know it. He doesn't appreciate being told what to do. But at other times he's the sweetest boy! He follows me everywhere I go and sleeps with me every night. He cries for me when I take the trash out. There's a teddy bear on my bed that he LOVES to sleep with. You could say he's a sensitive, brooding type of guy. Or, you could just say he's a big baby!

Apollo has hypertrophic cardiomyopathy. He's on daily medication to try and control the amount of thickening of the heart walls. UPDATE 4/29/2010: Apollo just had his annual echocardiogram and it showed that the medications have halted the progression of the disease for now. He has moderate heart disease and shows no symptoms for now. It is a very unpredictable disease, so there is no certainty as far as lifespan, but we are keeping positive and enjoying each day he's here with us. He is a very special boy and we hope he is with us for many years to come. UPDATE: Apollo lost his battle with heart disease on 12/19/2010. He just turned 6 last week. I hope he didn't suffer too much pain. I miss him every minute and hope heaven is real and that we will be together again one day. I don't know what I'm going to do without him.
