Arrival Story:
Cotton's story is a very amusing one. We shall start from the very beginning.. I went outside a few days before Halloween, and heard what I thought a kitten meowing. I followed the sound and found a baby kitten in the bushes and brush at the end of our yard! For the next few days, I left food outside and tried everything to get the kitten out. On Halloween, I stayed home from a band trip with the school cause I just didn't feel like going. I was bound and determined to get that kitten inside our house! I went outside and tried and tried. The bushes were on one side of a little stream/ditch thing, and on the other side was a cotton field. I decided to try from that side. On the way over, I looked down in the ditch beside the road and saw something white laying down there. I looked more closely and saw that it was a kitten!! (It wasn't the one I was after, but it was KITTEN) I was afraid it was dead and grabbed for it. Well, it was alive. It jumped out of my hands and started running. And of course I went after it. Here I am in my blue and white pj pants chasing this kitten in the cotton field by our house. I'm sure the people driving by thought I was a lunatic. I finally caught him, and ran inside and yelled, "MAMA I GOT ONE!" We ran and put him in the bathroom away from the other cats. I sat back there for hours trying to coax and relax him. Finally he started warming up to me, and after he realized I was safe, couldn't get enough of me. Mama and I decided that he was no stray cat because it didn't take long for him to trust us. We believe someone dropped he and his family on the side of the road. We were going to give him away, but we fell in love with him and here he is today. We couldn't save the others in his family. We couldn't find them or catch them..
Bio:
Well, Cotton was the only male cat in the house, until Spike came along. He wasn't always Cotton either. When he first arrived, I thought he was a girl and I named him Tinker Bell. He was named so for a week or so until my mom told me his a boy. We decided to name him Cotton then. We love his markings. He has all the markings of a Siamese cat, but where they are grey, he's orange! What also makes a little different is that there are orange rings around his tail. (It shows the tabby in him.) So he is better described as a white cat that always looks dirty. He is in love with Flame. Cinnamon hasn't been nice enough to him. Flame kinda is stuck with him. He's like that nerdy kid at school. You decide to be nice and say "hey" one time, and you are stuck with them. Bed time is his favorite time. When he learns you are going to bed, he becomes VERY loving and his tail gets all fluffed up and he just purrs and purrs.. As for him, he has taken a strong liking to my mom. I think he can tell she's the mother figure in the house.
