indoors Arrival Story: Four and a half years ago, we went to a pet shop. Simba was the only orange tabby there, so he stood out. We chose to hold him first, to see what he was like, but as soon as we picked him up, he dug his claws in and didn't let go. We had no choice but to take him home with us!
We thought we brought home a pet kitty, but very soon, we realized that he was the real boss and he had adopted US. Nowadays, Sim has the run of the whole house, calling the shots, with everyone having to make way for him and his wants! Bio: As a kitten, Simba was a smal ball of orange-fluff. After spending two years with us, he developed a slim and lengthy built. Now, at four and a half, we all agreed that he is slightly on the chubby-side...As far as we could recall, he gained most of his weight after he got spayed. Pretty normal, huh?
Simba has had quite a sensitive stomach since he was little. After trial and error with different brands of dry and wet food, it was decided that Eukanuba dry food (any flavour) works best for him...Sorry my big boy! Yummy canned food was taken off his menu completely!! The only occassional treat allowed is 'Salmon flavoured dry biscuits' from the Purina brand.
Simba looks forward to his daily outdoor exploration (in our front garden). He likes to hunt for small insects among the bushes or chases after the birds flying overhead.
His only social activities are with his human family of four. He gets occassional visits from our neighbourhood felines...He could only watch them through glass windows or the front fly-screen door.
As much as he wants to be our boss (waking mum up for early-morning feed; being very vocal whenever he demands for more food; to be taken outdoor; claimming the best spot in the house for a snooze etc. etc) Simba is a big softie and a very loving cat. He produced the sweetest purr......
Oops...I nearly forget to mention that he has a leather fettish. He loves leather sneakers, boots, slippers and even our garden gloves made out of suade and leather.
Sim...You are such a bossy, funny and a lovable big bundle of joy to our family. How fading are the joys we dote upon!
Like apparitions seen and gone.
But those which soonest take their flight
Are the most exquisite and strong -
Like angels' visits, short and bright;
Mortality's too weak to bear them long.

We have lost 4 great friends since we joined Catster........
We have lost Milo, a great doggie friend, to an unfortunate car accident on the road.
We then lost Baby, the sweet little kitty to an illness, followed by Snow (a kitty brother of Baby ) to an illness.
Just yesterday, we have lost another sweet old pal of ours, Milo, so suddenly to illness.
All these forever friends were and will always be in our hearts....
God blessed them in kitty & doggie heaven.
God blessed their families!
