1. I am the most finicky eater…you’d never guess it because I am 17 lbs. I don’t even like the salmon oil my mom puts on my food!
2. I have lost one lb since starting my new food, Royal Canin calorie control. YES! Three years and one lb. FINALLY!
3. I get fur balls and throw up huge amounts of food. Nice, huh?
4. I don’t chew my food, despite my perfect teeth.
5. I love dogs, but now we have a Jack Russell in the house and he loves me too much!
6. I love to sleep on my mom’s dark, clean clothes on the shelf.
7. I cannot get enough snuggling and loving. Who says cats are aloof???

I FINALLY POOPED!!!!!!!
Mom sticks a thing in my throat and then all this gooey stuff goes flying into my throat!!! ACK!!!! Doesn't she know that is very rude to do without asking. Besides, I would say no.
"Lacksativ," she calls it. I don't think I will eat thread anymore. For all I know it had been in me for weeks. Who knows? Mom vacuumed like crazy yesterday (YIKES!) and still found no traces of evidence. I don't even know where it came from. But I am feeling better and think I would like to stay home, avoid the crate and the rides in the car. I think I will leave rides in the car up to The Dingo.

Taking a break for a while....

This is a copy of Zoe and mom's email to a pal. Full of irony, Zoe is a Diary of the Day winner today! Mom is needing to take a break from the computer for a while and have some one-on-one time with us girls...but remember, WE LOVE YOU ALL!!

"Hi there, sorry we have been out of touch. Sugar ate a thread and was at the vet all Monday, came home Monday night, back to vet on Tuesday then to Annapolis 24 hour vet for overnight observation. They weren't sure she didnt have any bowel obstruction, and they were worried she was going to to need surgery. The weird thing is that the blankets for Blankets for Babies have been sewn with white thread (and that has been a major worry of mine while sewing--for both the shelter critters and my girls!) and that the thread that came out (partially) from her rear was black! We looked high and low but have no idea where the thread came from.

We got to go pick her up again this morning and we are just soaking in the sun quietly together. I think I may have to stop blanket for babies group sadly, and do my own thing once I have recovered from the trauma of it all.

Vet school is out of the question...emotionally, I just can't take it. This month has been so heartbreaking.

I wonder what we will end up doing for birthday.

Well, I hope you dont mind....I am posting this to my diary...I have been worrying about posting something in my diary to notify everyone I am ok, because I need to spend less time online. AND THEN I am a Diary of the Day today! BOL!! Oh the irony!!! (So I will be copying this message...oh the irony of this week never ceases to amaze me! Yes, I swallowed a mystery thread. Mom keeps all her thread in ziplock bags, but these things still happen. That's why my nickname is Troublemaker.

So a word to the wise though, enjoy all your sunbeams together...and don't swallow thread. It isn't as fun as it would seem to be!!!

I CAUGHT A MOUSE!!!! I "earned my keep"!!!!

It was late at night and mom was shutting down the house for bed. I thought she looked a little sleepy and needed to get rid of that sleepiness. I like the insomnia...she stays up with me!!! I had to fight off "Winken, Blinken, and Nod" for her so... I ran up from the basement level with A MOUSE!!!! We have been feeding the birds out in the backyard (DROOOL!!!) so it seems we now have been supporting the local rodentia as well. I have been waiting patiently. One finally squeezed in the gap in teh baseboard (darn! mom found the hole and patched it up since!).

I ran up the stairs after toying with it for a while, and dropped it right at mom's feet. WOW! She can hit some HIGH notes!!!! She SCREEECHED!!! Pawpaw came running down the stairs and the mouse ran under the fridge. That is where I kind of fell off the project, as I already had given my gift of the mouse. I was sure the mouse was under the accordian (don't ask why we have an accordian...mom doesn't know either). After much fishing out, and Zoe trying to take over, mom and pawpaw caught the mouse and let it out the back door again (no movement after releasing to the woods). I think it had a heart attack though. He was really looking stunned after he moved from the fridge to under the oven.

Mom said thanks, but don't bring it to the kitchen next time. The basement is fine. And not at 1 am!!!! They are just glad I didn't stash a deceased mouse somewhere to find with our noses. PEEEEUUUUUUU!

I am officially a big, bad kitty!!!!! :)

That was a great way to start the day!!! MEEEEEEOOOW!!!

LAST NIGHT, Vet called and gave us the final results for Zoe Dingo's biopsies. If you have read ZD's diary, you know that her first surgery was to remove a cancerous mast cell stage 2 mass. Clean edges, and a Buffy Coat test revealed no cancer cells in her blood sample. Good news!!

BUT the result last night from the second surgery (ribcage and behind her armpit) revealed BENIGN + BENIGN results! Both of the masses! YAY!!!! She gets her sutures out on Friday!

Yes, it has been a great day already!!!
