My BIRFDAY!

Today I am 6 years old. I am such a big girl. I got extra treats today and a super squishy nap. I can't believe I'm 6 already, what a great life! Thanks for all the birfday wishes everybody...

V-E-T day

well, yesterday was VET day, and I did very well, thank you very much! I am a petite 11-1/2 lbs...(ok, so 8 of that is my SQUISHY) and the doctor said I need to go on a diet...
Meowmy said she was sooo proud of me, I did cry a lot but all in all, I came home and was back to my playful self in no time - it used to be that the vet or going anywhere was super traumatic for me but I'm getting better!

Yaaaaay! I'm THREE today! Me and my big B Hobbes are three today, we're out of the terrible two's (although we were NEVER terrible, right??) and on our way to being BIG kitties. HA! I love being three! we got extra turkey breakfast, extra treats, lots of extra exploring time in the hallway of our apartment and lovin' nuggins from meowmy. Wow ! maybe tonight we'll get extra din-din!

Benglish

So in my Bengals are Crazy group, we've been talking about "Benglish", or the language of a Bengal..it seems we meow slightly differently than other kitties...I thought I'd share. For example, when Meowmy sneezes, I "chirp" at her. When she fake sneezes (don't think I don't know the difference, silly!), I also chirp - like a birdie. Also, I do the yawn/chirp combo - chirping makes me yawn. Hmmm, I don't know why this is. And when Meowmy talks to me and asks me about my day, I answer back in one or two syllable chirps. When I'm under the bed and getting SQUISHY RUBS (ok, belly rubs - but my belly is extra squishy, hence the nickname) - I look at Meowmy, blink my eyes, she blinks back and I softly chirp again.

All so ladylike and dignified.

Here's what Hobbes does -
high pitched sissy SCREAMS standing in the bathtub waiting for Meowmy to turn on the water so he can have a drink. He also does a broken, raspy "murr-hooow, murr-hooow" kind of sound.
He thinks he's large and in charge, but his sissy meows rat him out.!!

Portland Pet and Companion Fair this weekend!!

Hi efurybody! Hey, it's that time of year - the Pet and Companion fair is coming to the Expo Center this coming weekend the 19 - 20th of April. It's a great way to meet those homeless friends who need furever homes. Well behaved pets are welcome, there will be adoptable furry friends and toys and free samples....lots of fun...there's a downloadable cupon on the website. Also, a dollar doggie admission when you bring a donation of pet food...come by and visit meowmy at the Dove Lewis booth !!

My AnniFURsary!!

Wow, today is my 2nd annifursary at my furever home. I am a happy, purring, well-spoiled little girl, and I luff my Hobbington and meowmy too, of course! Meowmy gave me extra treats, extra catnip, and extra lovin-nuggins today...(well, I really get those every day!!) Yaaay! I'm so happy here where I belong, my furever home.

We got the froggie toy!

Hey efurybody...we got cool stuff for our big 2nd birthday! Two kitties, terrible two! We got our froggy toy (for kitty meowmy and daddies out there who have kitties who LOVE to jump and hunt, especially Bengal parents) from metpet.com - they are lures on the end of fishing line and BOY to they bounce which makes us bounce even better! oh boy oh boy...tomorrow's my birthday!!

Tomorrow, July 7, 2007 (lucky day for a lucky kitty!) is my birthday, and my big brother Hobbes' birthday too! We are TERRIBLE TWO! Meowmy says she's getting us something special, we hope it's another froggy toy since we've destroyed the last one .... sigh.....

Last year meowmy had a huge party for me and so many people came, I was so shy and stayed under the bed the whole time. But people brought such nice presents to donate to the homeless kitty shelter, it was wonderful how people opened their hearts. But I must confess, I'm glad we're not having another one with lots of people because I'm so shy....just me, Hobbes and meowmy! yaaaay!
