Arrival Story: I was working at the front desk at the LA/SPCA and this lady came in with a cage. I asked her what I could do for her. She informed me she found a cat who appeared injured. I did the intake and brought the cat over to the clinic. I went to Dr. B and asked her if she could help me. She said she just had lunch and would try. We opened the cage and an awful smell permiated the air. We took it out of the cage and the leg was decaying. It was wrapped in rubber bands and popsicle sticks like a splint. They checked to see if it was a male or female and it was a female. They amputated the leg and she was terrified. I agreed to foster her. Then Hurricane Katrina came, so we evacuated with her and adopted her.
