New Baby Brother

Oh no. I heard we're getting a new baby brother whose gonna look sorta like my sister Katie but a different color. I don't think I like that idea. I've always been the baby brother.

Another Friday the 13th

Hi Everyone,
Mommy is letting me say Happy Friday the 13th since I'm a black cat who brings her good luck, not bad. Mommy's birthday is Monday and I think she'll be 8.28 cat years which is about as old as my brother Andy. Apparently it's a bigger number in human years.

My First Birthday!

Hi Everyone, Mommy says now I'm as old as my sister Katie cause I turned one year old today. Mommy gave me a new toy ball to bat around the kitchen and said I don't even have to share it. She gave me new treats too but I think she gave a couple to Katie. We got our nails trimmed one at a time in the bathroom and Mommy said this time I was as good as Katie because I let her put me on my back on her lap. It was kinda comfy and then she gave me more treats for being so good.

Happy Birthday Katie. I'm glad you're having yours 2 weeks before me so I'll learn to hide if it's anything bad like when they took us to be neutered. I hope it involves presents you'll share with me.

Feeling Better Now

Hi. I'm feeling better today after the surgery I had Wednesday and I'm sorry I growled and hissed at my sister Katie yesterday. She smelled real funny and I got scared. Today I'm trying to be a good boy and not play too touch cause Mommy keeps saying Katie needs to rest up more since she's a girl.

Hospital? What hospital? Why do I have to go to a hosptial tomorrow? I'm not sick! See my poop is nice and firm and I'm being a good boy and look how nicely I use my scratching posts. You're not going to make me ride in the car in my carrier are you? What do you mean NO BREAKFAST. Rats, this sounds bad, like I'm not going to have a good day tomorrow. At least Katie is going too, aren't you Katie?

Hi, I'm Tommy. I'm the youngest in my new family. Before I came here I was rescued by a nice lady with my brothers and sisters. Other people took my littermates and I came to live here. My new Mommy picked me out because I purred when she held me. The rescue lady told her I was a girl which made her happy because she already bought my older sister Katie and was going to pick her up the day after I could go home. But when Mommy went to get me, the rescue lady said I was a boy. Mommy almost didn't take me because the older cat is a boy and might not like me and also she didn't want me to get into any trouble with the new Ragdoll kitten. The first day I was in my new home they gave me a great big room for myself. I'd been sharing a room with bars with my 4 littermates and it wasn't too awful. But this new room had a litter box, food, drink, and lots of cool toys. They were so happy that I already seemed to know how to use the scratching post.

The second day I was there, the people went away for a few hours and came back with my sister Katie. She really is beautiful but she's kinda stuck up about it. They say she came from a breeder. Geez, big deal, I have pretty long fur too. She kinda ignored me the first day.

The next day Mommy took both of us to the vet. He said I was a girl but when Mommy told him I'd already been declared a girl and then a boy, the doctor said he would check the next week. Then they found out the rescue people didn't quite get me checked right and I had a little disease so we had to stay locked up in the room together for a few weeks to keep us away from mean Andy cat so he wouldn't get sick too. The nice dog Jamie did come visit us a tiny bit every day. And some people came to watch us play too.

AFter 3 weeks they said we could run around the whole house! I was amazed how big it is and there are so many great places to hide to sleep. Daddy built me a great big tree to climb on in the livingroom. I heard Mommy say she wants her sewing room back but she's waiting til next week when Katie & I go to have some surgery and we're not allowed to sleep together that night. I guess they'll put me in the room alone but it's okay for one night. Mommy's been worried that sometimes I play too rough and they keep whispering about things I'm too little to hear. Oh, now the doctor says I'm a boy again. Wow, it's been confusing.
