I love to sit at my open window on top of my perch staring at those darn birds who tease me all day long. I also really like to pounce on the dog when she's sleeping. It's funny 'cause mom yells at her if she goes to chase me, even though I started it.

I really hate it when mom pays more attention to that darn canine. I don't know why she likes her so much, I can sit, stay, laydown and come on command just like her, what else do I have to do?

Favorite Toy:
Well I really like these cool fake mice mom buys me. They rattle and are all different colors and the best of all they have tails made out of bunny fur. Yummy!

Favorite Nap Spot:
I really like to sleep on the back of the couch. I tend to pick the spot that dad wants to sit at so he can't sit there without paying attention to me.

Favorite Food:
I really don't have one but when mom gets canned food for me I go crazy. That stuff is sooooooooooo good!

Like I said, I'm just as good as the dog. I can sit, stay, come and laydown just like the dog. Mom is trying to teach me how to wave, but it's a little harder than it looks.

Arrival Story:
Emmy came to me in the early fall. I had been looking to get a new kitty for some time, but since I was still living at home I had to wait until my parents said okay. I had recently adopted another cat who was a little older and she ended up adopting my mom, totally ignoring and wanting nothing to do with me. Honestly, I couldn't get near her, she really didn't like me. So my parents said I could get another kitty. I ended up going to a couple different shelters up and down 1-5. I finally stopped at the "new" no kill shelter, NOAH in Stanwood Washington. I always look at the older kitties first because I know that they are last to be adopted. Unfortunately, none of the kitties really showed interest in me. So on to the kitten room. There were quite a few in there, long haired & short haired alike. I found this really cute male that was super active. He was so excited to play I knew he wouldn't make a good indoor kitty, so alas I kept looking. As I started to go out the door I saw one little kitten sitting in her bed staring at me. Immediatly I knew that kitty was for me. She was very vocal once I started playing with her, I could play with her feet, look in her ears/mouth and she didn't care. She was my new baby. So I filled out all the paperwork, gave the nice lady my adoption fee and we started our new life together. I later learned that she had been a bottle baby, was hand raised by the secretary of the shelter, and that the kitten had just been put into the adoption room right before I got there. Everyone was so sad to see her go as she was the favorite baby of the season, she had so much personality. I am so happy that I did go look at the adults first because if I would have started with the kittens, she wouldn't have been there and I would not have brought her home with me. She has grown up to be such a good little girl. Since she grew up mainly with dogs, she really does think she is one. I know I said I do have another cat, but she really keeps mainly to herself & my mom. Emmy is a very talented girl, she knows how to do alot of tricks and is in the process of learing more. I try to keep her stimulated mentally because she is definately NOT NOT NOT let outside. I tried that, and a couple weeks into it, I came home to a kitty with quite a few holes in her. After a rush to the Vet I decided that she belonged inside since no one had ever taught her the rules of the road. She now goes outside very happily on her harness and leash. She likes to walk around and eat grass, and yes chase the ducks ( you can see her pretty pink harness in the photos while she stares down the ducks). She also doesn't mind the water. She actually will get on the boogy board if I'm out in the water, she really wants to be close to me so I guess she figures being wet really isnt' that bad.
