Arrival Story:
I was coming out of a movie theater, walking across the parking lot to my car. A little kitty walked up to us, meowing. It was very friendly. The theater wasn't close to anything but busy roads, so there were no homes to check and see if it lived near-by. It was going to be 10 degrees that night and with traffic all around, I couldn't leave it there, so got in my car, with kitty on my lap to take it home. It didn't take me long to realize I couldn't take a stray kitty home where I already had two cats and a dog, until I had it checked by my vet. I called my vet and took kitty in for an exam, and shots. The vet tech said, "this is a real laid-back kitty"! I was thinking, "how can he tell that"? After getting the ok from my vet, I then took her home to meet the family. She is a "laid-back kitty", for sure. She doesn't seem to be afraid of anything and her favorite activity is relaxing. She was immediately comfortable going into a strange house with two cats and a 114 pound German Shepherd. I was tempted to name her Spangle, as the movie we saw was "Spanglish", but the tabby color won out and she became Abby, (the Tabby). She has little tufts of hair on the tips of her ears, spots on her back and looks like a Bengal. She's a very sweet kitty and I'm glad I didn't walk away from her that cold winter day!
