She doesn't like to have her nails trimmed. Favorite Toy: Cali will play with just about anything Favorite Nap Spot: She sleeps on a little table right next to the computer when I'm on it. She also likes a to sleep on a cat-shelf in the back room in the morning & evening when it's not too hot. Favorite Food: She loves chicken and would eat almost anything you're eating if you'll share. indoors Arrival Story: We had already agreed that we didn't need any more cats, 4 was plenty. But.......a friend of ours lives out in the country and one of his semi-wild cats had kittens and two were calico, one of which had the prettiest little face (my cali). Everytime we went to visit, I would try to get friendly & close to the kittens. Cali was the only one that would let me pick her up. I would put her high on my chest and talk softly to her before putting her back down to join her litter mates. One evening, my husband said, maybe we should take her home to live with us. I couldn't believe what I was hearing, but I didn't waste anytime scooping her up before he changed his mind!!! She had never been in a car and I was worried that she might freak out, but she layed on my chest and stared up at me as if she knew she was going to a much better life, one safe from preditors, one where she would be loved and taken care of. She never made a sound. When we got her home we got to looking at her eyes and wondered if maybe she was blind, she had such funny little eyes. She isn't blind and the reason her eyes look so funny is because she wears black eye liner!!!!! Not really, but it does look like someone took an eyeliner pencil and colored all around her eyes. Bio: Cali and Meme quickly became friends, they chase each other and play for long periods of time. Cali hardly ever talks and when she does she sounds like a little mouse, more of a squeek than a meow. She is a very sweet little girl and politely sits and waits to be invited before joining you in your chair. Most nights she sleeps at my feet after I give her, her nightly love.
