Samba is very athletic and agile. She chases bugs, hunts & always comes to me on a dead run(she's very fast). She loves playing with her brother Kufu and ambushing her sister Pooter.
She doesn't really like to be held. She & her sister Pooter are arch enemies and take turns ambushing each other and occasionally they have to be pulled apart.
Sam plays with anything that moves, excluding any of her siblings other than her brother Kufu.
Favorite Nap Spot:
On top of my car in the carport, a small kitchen table that also doubles as a food station for her and Kufu. We never use it for ourselves.
Sam loves bacon and parmesan cheese.
Sam is my huntress. She brings me all kinds of gifts-mice, birds, snakes & bugs. These gifts are always given with the sweetest little chirping sound. I immediately praise her, telling her what a great huntress she is & then my husband gets rid of it.
indoors and outdoors
A friend of mine works at a convenience store and a customer came in asking if she knew anyone who wanted a kitten. They said they were on their way to the vet's to have him put the last kitten to sleep, as they had not been able to find a home for her. She immediatly thought of me & knew I would never forgive her if she let them put this kitten to sleep. She told them where I lived(we live in a small town)and told them to drop her off in the yard. She called me to warn me and we've to this day never told my husband the whole story!! She was a skinny little girl, probably about 6wks old. We took her in and loved her. When she was about 9 mos. old she got out while in heat&............well you can guess what happened. On the day that she went into labor, she came to me and started talking to me intently, so I followed her into the bedroom closet where we already had a place set up. I stayed with her the whole time, & even had to help pull the third kitten out(she was breach). It was my first time to witness such a miracle and I was honored to be a part of it.
Sadly my Sam lost 3 of her 4 kittens. She was so young when she had them that she didn't seem to be bothered and I think she was glad the whole thing was behind her. She has since been spayed and is a happy girl, going in & out of the house 100 times or more a day. Birthday: Aug. 11th
