Arrival Story:
this beautiful kitten was born to one of the ferals seeking shelter in our barn. the mother cat is solid black and showed up late last summer with 2 beautiful orange and black kittens. we suspect red may have had something to do with this before getting fixed. their unusual look caught our attention immediately. claudie was naturally tame and very loving. the sweetest wild cat you can imagine.
Bio:
claudia went missing ( june 6th, 2006). she was constantly at the front door step so we noticed her absence right away. i spent every waking moment looking and calling for her. i knew something terrible had happened. her remains were found 2 days later (june 8th) with coyote scat, so we knew instantly what happened to her. i am devistated beyond words. i feel responsible for not bringing her in the house after her sister was adopted. we buried claudie in the back garden under a pear tree. we placed a winged cat statue at the head of her grave that says "loyal friend" . i'm still using the side door until i can get beyond her passing...

* this note is for those who have asked about claudies twin sister from the pics above...her name is isabella and she is doing fine. she was adopted by a loving family when she was just 6 weeks old. she's no longer an outside kitty, so rest assured she's safe and healthy. thanks to those who have offered bella a place to live...and kudos to catster for putting us in connection with such wonderful " cat friends"
