Tortoiseshell Tabby

Petting and more petting, tuna, leading me around the house

Being picked up; as of July 2006 her biggest pet peeve is the existence of her new little brother River

Favorite Toy:
catnip banana

Favorite Nap Spot:
In front of the heater, foot of the bed, back of the couch

Favorite Food:
Tuna, Whiskas kibble, Fancy Feast Ocean fish Feast

She can get me to follow her and fill up her food bowl, opens cabinets. Makes an amazing variety of sounds - her angry noises are quite frightening.

Arrival Story:
Molly, like her "brother" Dexter, was adopted from the SPCA mobile adoption in SF. She was two months old, two pounds and the most beautiful kitten I'd ever seen. She was in a cage with a very lively kitten who was playing and kept bumping into her. Molly sat there like a queen, trying to sleep, and giving her too-lively cage mate a devastating look of scorn. He didn't notice but I was very taken with her. She still has one of the best disdainful expressions I've seen, even for a cat, but she is a darling, affectionate girl.

Molly loves people and is social and fearless with them - loves to be petted. However she does NOT like other cats. Dexter is okay with her because he is the alpha cat and was here first but any other cats are usurpers and she wants them gone! As of December 2006, we found out that Molly has a large mass in her abdomen. She is having an ultrasound and a biopsy on January 12 and we are praying it is benign. She also has a heart murmur, hyperthyroidism and a painful eye condition called entropion. Despite all of this she seems to be doing pretty well and is eating and drinking and seems fairly comfortable.

Hi catsters!

I haven't written in a while but I thought it was time to say to all the world:

He sends me lots of gifts - he sent me a lovely heart rosette today with a sweet message and purrrs for me and for my brother Dexter! *blush*

And we are all still enjoying his Catmas package, especially the wonderful soft pink blanket he sent especially for me. You can see photos on my page. Dexter and River like it too so sometimes I let them use it, if I feel like it. MOL! There were also beautiful catnip pillows with Christmas designs which his talented mommy made herself! River likes the toys best - he doesn't really go for catnip. Oh, and he likes the tissue paper too! Silly guy!

But I think my favorite gift is the photo my Cocoa sent of him in a Santa suit! Sooooo adorable! That's my kind of Santa Paws!

Cocoa says on his page that he's looking forward to Valentine's Day with me! I am too. He is so romantic. Maybe there will be a big catster Valentine's Day bash and we can meet up there. And Picasso and Aspen and everyone cat bring their girlfriends and meet up! Wouldn't that be fun?

Anyway, I am not very good about keeping up with my diary but I had to honor my darling Cocoa because he has been such a purrrrfect boyfriend. Love you Cocoa!

And before I go, many, many heartfelt thanks to all of our wonderful catster friends who have been purrrring for my brother Dexter and for me. It sure is hard getting older, but our catster friends are sure doing their part to make it easier. We love you all!!!

love & purrrrrs,

So sad & happy at the same time

I'm feeling very confused right now. I have so much to be happy for and at the same time, I am so sad.

But I will start with why I am happy, okay? I apologize to my dearest Cocoa that it took me so long to write this in my diary, but I am the happiest, luckiest kitty on catster since Cocoa asked me to be his girlfriend!!

I could hardly believe it. I've been somewhat unwell and feeling really old and I didn't think anycat would be interested anymore but my dearest Cocoa! *sigh* So sweet, so handsome, and what a gentleman! Would I be his girlfriend? What could I say but YESSSSSSSSSSSSSS!!!!

And then he sent me the sweetest gift! He sent me a little teddy bear holding a heart that says "Feel Better." Oh my heart. And he sent the sweetest card full of prayers and purrs and love. And omicat! A photo of my so handsome, darling sweetheart wearing the special ruff his Mom brought home from the CFI cat show. How could a girl be happier? Cocoa, you are my sweetheart. *blush*

But yesterday we got some very, very sad news. My brother Dexter's beautiful sweetheart Queen Cleo went to the Rainbow Bridge.

Cleo was a lovely, sweet, kind and tiny but tough little gal and she fought and fought but finally it was her time to go to the Bridge. We know she will be happy there and with some of her family who went before her, but we on earth are so, so sad. Her mother is brokenhearted. We will never ever forget you Cleo or stop loving you. We will be with you again someday. Maybe soon for some of us.

Sending so much love to you in heaven and to your Mommy and Giotto and all your family on earth.

WOW!! What a week it's been. We got all kinds of bad news from the vet (see diary entry below) but so far I am hanging in there. And yesterday I was picked for Diary of the Day!!! I would never have expected such an exciting honor! It sure perked me up, let me tell you. And while I'm not wonderful, I'm doing okay all things considered. Don't always feel so great but I'm still enjoying my food and my mommy petting me - I purrrrr and purrrrr! So that's all good.

But I'd better not meow any more about that because last time I meowed so much I ran out of space! Catster cut me off! MOL! But this time I'm determined to say all my thank yous. My catster friends are just the best ever and they have all been praying and purrrring and sending kind thoughts and kind words and beautiful healing stars and rosettes and notes!! I'm so touched and overwhelmed to know so many kitties care about me.

Now to thank yous! (I feel like I just won an Acatemy Award! *giggle*

Omicat! That was a lot of typing and now my paws are tired! I can't ever thank all of you enough for your purrrs and prayers and gifts and love and kind words. I know it's why I'm still hanging in there - you are giving me the courage to be the tough chick my Mom always said I am! I love you all.

purrrrs & much love,
Molly & family
