I've got a bad, BAD MOMMY!

In case anyone is wondering, I am a Mommy's Girl. I will tolerate Daddy if Mommy isn't here, but otherwise, she's the only game in town.

Well, in the past month she has ABANDONED ME TWICE!!!! The first time she went somewhere called "the cabin" and was gone for FIVE WHOLE NIGHTS! The horror. Uncle Justin came over and fed me, but I don't like him either. I came out and ate the can he opened while he was outside watering the plants and when he came in, I went back under the bed.

Then, this most recent abandonment was for FIVE NIGHTS AGAIN! And again, I came out when Uncle Justin opened a can, but I was otherwise anti-social. Or so he told Mommy. This time she went to something called "Convention". She brought home lots of stuff for me to sniff tho. Hopefully she won't be going anywhere again any time soon. Just in case, I am sleeping ON HER at night so she can't sneak away.....

Are you KIDDING ME???!!!

OK - so Mommy ABANDONED me last week. Something about a "Retreat". She left on Wednesday and didn't come home till SUNDAY NIGHT. Daddy was gone over the weekend too. I sought revenge by only drinking out of one of my water bowls which I managed to lick completely DRY and I didn't TOUCH the other, hoping for a guilt-induced payoff. Didn't work.

To make matters worse, she came home REEKING of other cats. One in particular. There is white fur all over her bag and her laptop case. She showed Daddy pictures of someone named "Athena" and said if she could, she would have BROUGHT HER HOME. Uh, I think NOT, Mom!

Unfortunately, it sounds like her travels have just begun. She has been talking about "the cabin" and Convention. She does this "convention" thing every year. She is usually gone for 5 or 6 days. At least Daddy will stay at home with me for that. Not sure how long she plans to go to the cabin. Sometimes it's just 3 days, sometimes it's a week. Don't know if Daddy is going too. Mommy said something about "stamping Convention stuff" there, so I'm guessing if Daddy goes, he won't stay long!

I am NOT amused. I *WILL* retaliate......

Mommy's big pink suitcase is out and full of stuff. I am NOT amused......

I am NOT a happy kitty! Let me tell you what happened here this week! Yep, you guessed it... THEY ABANDONED ME AGAIN! Saturday Mommy put the big red suitcase on the bed and started packing stuff. Hmmm. Looks like Daddy's stuff. Guess he's traveling again. I didn't think much of it. UNTIL SATURDAY EVENING WHEN SHE BROUGHT OUT HER BIG PINK DUFFLE BAG! ACK! Mommy was packing all sorts of things! Shorts, tank tops, a swimsuit, sunscreen! The only good thing about this trip is that I got to stay home and didn't have to go to the Pet Hotel. Uncle Justin came in on Monday and fed me and petted me.

Apparently Mommy & Daddy went somewhere called "Hawaii". Mommy says she brought me back a "pretty present", which I'm sure will be some sort of degrading item for me to wear. I'm sure the nauseating photo will grace this site in the near future. Right now, I'm not letting Mommy out of my sight. Every time she leaves the room, I get up from my cozy spot and follow her. The NERVE of them, abandoning me!

The BIG bag of doom is out!!!!!

And Mommy yelled at me earlier for using it as a scratching post. I do NOT like that bag. That bag means LONG trips! HISSSSSSS!!

Well, after she yelled at me, Mommy explained that just Daddy is going away for work again. So it's sort of a good thing because Mommy and I will have the bed ALL TO OURSELVES while he's gone!

OK. She's really done it now.

Mommy went away again last week. She left on Friday morning and didn't come home till Monday night. Not too long, and Daddy was here with me except for Saturday night and part of Sunday, so I wasn't alone very long. HOWEVER, when she came home Monday night she REEKED of *DOG*!!!! The foul stench was EVERYWHERE!!!!! HOW DARE SHE!!!!

Since she took everything with that foul odor on it outside and has done all the laundry, I decided to forgive her. Today I was in a "GOTTA HAVE LOVIN" mood.... I was all over Mommy all morning and even yelled at her until she picked me up and put me on her lap. I don't do laps often. She must have been pleased with this, because she went to the glorious "PetSmart" place today to get me more kibble and came home with A NEW BRUSH which I LOVE LOVE LOVE!!!! Of course, you are imagining I love to be brushed with it, which I do, but what I REALLY love is to CHEW CHEW CHEW on the bristles! Mommy had to take it away because I was chewing so hard she said I was making my gums bleed, but it felt SOOOOOOO good!

Mommy said there was a Maine Coon kitty at the adoption place today and that she was REALLY CUTE, but that her papers said she wanted to be an "only kitty". Yeah, I can understand that. It's a great gig if you can get it... I highly reccommend it!

Oooo! I hear Daddy getting ready to head for bed.... time for me to go lay across the foot of his bed! He he he.... Catch you later!

Things have been pretty normal around here....

Mommy went away twice in July, but Daddy stayed home, so it wasn't too bad. Daddy was only gone on the weekend part of Mommy's trip. Mommy has been stamping a lot since she got back from something called "Convention". I like it when Mommy stamps because she sits in one place for a really long time and I can come in and get attenetion from her if I want it. She also drops fun scraps on the floor that I like to play with.... some she will let me keep and some she shouts at me and takes away :-(

I've been sleeping with Mommy a lot lately too. Just to make sure she knows I prefer it when she's here. Daddy just doesn't pamper me the same.....

Life is good....

Which means something is up. I mean, I don't usually go this long without something ugly happening around here. Mommy has been home. Daddy has been home. No bags of doom. No trips in the car. This can't be good.....
