Gone but not forgotten

This is a very hard one to write, even though it has been nearly a year since a terrible thing happened. When I was in California visiting my sister, the man I once trusted and had married did a terrible thing. He took nine of my beloved babies and just dumped them. Sadly, this beloved furkid was among those taken. I was only able to find one of them - Meio. I hope and pray that they found homes, but I may never know for sure. Not knowing has been so hard. It has been difficult even returning to catster, as seeing their lovely faces still pains me greatly. I've always had many cats and they were well taken care of. If you pray, please do so for my missing babies.

Since this is such a painful thing to write, I am copying this to the diaries of all my missing babies: Bear, D.C., Dart, Holly, Kimba, Kizzy, Kozmo and Princessa.

Cat of the day!

I was furry excited to be chosen as cat of the day, but it was a furry hard day for meowmy. You see, I'm not with her right now. Something bad happened a while back which has torn meowmy to pieces.

We were a very big furmily, with there being 16 of us furmikins in one house. Yes, it sounds crowded, but we were well cared for. All of us had our spades and tutors and we've all been to the vet at one time or another, even if we didn't like it. There was a whole room in the house just fur our litter boxes. The house was clean, except what messes we made by knocking stuff over during our romps through the house. Things were good.

Meowmy's sister wanted her visit her in a place called California, so she went out there and our daddy was going to take care of us. Well, it didn't take long for him to do something furry bad. Four days after Meowmy left, he gathered nine of us up (Meio, Me, Bear, Kizzy, Kimba, Holly, Princessa, D.C., and Kozmo) and drove us ten or so miles away and dumped us. Meowmy never thought anything like that would happen. He didn't even tell meowmy until a week had passed and meowmy was about to come home. She managed to get home a day early and when he saw how upset she was, he took her to where he had dumped us. Unfortunately, only Meio was found. She tried and tried to find us, putting out posters and such, but nothing ever came of it. Apparently it is a very pet-friendly area, so she is hoping we all found homes.

Needless to say, it was furry hard for her to see me as cat of the day, and that is why she is late getting this written.

There are many thanks to give, though, so here they are. We got some wonderfur notes from Hazel Lucy, Squirrel, Guido the Italian kitty, and Buddy...Always loved.

I got one turkey from Grace and another turkey from The family of Rune and Sigil I'm so full of turkey I might just bust! But boy were they good.

I got a lovely crown from The family of Wally, Sir Alfie Kneads-a-lot, Teddy Bearz, Sweet Angel Sidney Rose and Milo

Frankie sent me some wonderfur pumpkin pie.

Edgar, Emily Felicity, Gabrielle and Lucinda sent me a wonderfur star to celebrate the star that I am.

I send my thanks to my wonderfur furiends for the great pawresents. Fanx!

Stop complaining! Sheesh!

I can't help that I have a big butt. I like to eat. I get a lot of exercise. I love to chase the red bug. I also like to sleep in boxes. And that's what the problem is.

My sisfur, Mayhem, has been complaining about me. She even put it in her diary for all to see! I don't know why she thinks I don't fit in her box. She has to be bigger than me because she can beat me up in a fight! (Shh.. don't tell anyfur that. I don't want that to get out!) Meowmy mentions something about me being three times her size. She calls out numbers, so maybe that has something to do with it? Mayhem is 6 pounds and I am 18 pounds. Hmm. I don't know what the pounds have to do with our size... or the box, for that matter. I'm so confuzzled.

Oohh.. look.. a box!

I need new claweets

I've discovered a slight problem. That red glowing bug has been visiting lately, and I've been having a bit of a problem. Every time I chase it into the kitchen, it's able to turn on a dime, but every time I try to turn, I go sliding into the cabinet. I need to figure out how to make sharp turns on ice... I mean vinyl flooring. I've never walked on ice, but I hear it's really slippery. I'm beginning to think that vinyl flooring is more slippery than ice. But if that's the case, why would the humans put it in their house to begin with? Well, if anybody knows how to get some better claweets, would you kindly let me know?

Hmmm... the 1003rd use for duct tape maybe??....

I scared Mommy.. he he

Well, I managed to scare mom half out of her wits. We had strangers over!! With 14 kitties around, we tend to keep strangers at bay. Yesterday two managed to get through! Then they started to tear the bathroom apart! It was scary, so I hid. During this time, My brother D.C. managed to get out when the screen door didn't latch. He came right back in, though. Mom didn't see me the entire time those strangers were there. I found a really good hiding spot! Well mom thought I had gotten outside when D.C. did and she kept looking and calling. I wouldn't answer, though. After a while, the strangers left with Mom and Dad. They all went to go get some dinner. Well I couldn't let Mom keep worrying, so I was sitting in the middle of the living room right by the door when they came in. I hope I managed to teach her a lesson. I'm not so sure, though. She has the door to the bathroom closed so we can't go in there. I have a feeling those people have to come back to finish doing whatever they were doing.

The fetchaholic's withdrawls

Dart loves to play fetch. He is one dedicated fetcher. In order to allow a couple of the older ladies to have some time to their own, they were in the bedroom with me behind closed doors. Apparently, Dart couldn't wait for his fetch fix and decided to take the game to my husband. This has never happened before, which is cause for concern. Apparently his addiction is worsening, since he is having to turn to new sources for his game. I hope he will be able to handle his times without fetching. Please keep him in your thoughts and prayers. We know he can beat this! LOL.
