Arrival Story:
I was at work when a co-worker told me about a little kitten they had found. He was completely frightened when I first saw him. He did his best to hiss and look mean to me at first. All of this coming from a 6 oz ball of fluff was hysterical, though. It didn't take him long to warm up to me once I got him home. He had apparently come into contact with a chemical or something. His little paw pads were sloughing like they were burned. He also had a couple of areas to scab over on his body, too. All of this is much better now!

Bio:
This cute little guy always makes me smile. He has taught himself to fetch and now wants to do it constantly. Gotta love him!

I scared Mommy.. he he

April 8th 2008 2:40 pm   [link to this entry]

Well, I managed to scare mom half out of her wits. We had strangers over!! With 14 kitties around, we tend to keep strangers at bay. Yesterday two managed to get through! Then they started to tear the bathroom apart! It was scary, so I hid. During this time, My brother D.C. managed to get out when the screen door didn't latch. He came right back in, though. Mom didn't see me the entire time those strangers were there. I found a really good hiding spot! Well mom thought I had gotten outside when D.C. did and she kept looking and calling. I wouldn't answer, though. After a while, the strangers left with Mom and Dad. They all went to go get some dinner. Well I couldn't let Mom keep worrying, so I was sitting in the middle of the living room right by the door when they came in. I hope I managed to teach her a lesson. I'm not so sure, though. She has the door to the bathroom closed so we can't go in there. I have a feeling those people have to come back to finish doing whatever they were doing.

The fetchaholic's withdrawls

March 25th 2008 5:57 pm   [link to this entry]

Dart loves to play fetch. He is one dedicated fetcher. In order to allow a couple of the older ladies to have some time to their own, they were in the bedroom with me behind closed doors. Apparently, Dart couldn't wait for his fetch fix and decided to take the game to my husband. This has never happened before, which is cause for concern. Apparently his addiction is worsening, since he is having to turn to new sources for his game. I hope he will be able to handle his times without fetching. Please keep him in your thoughts and prayers. We know he can beat this! LOL.
