Arrival Story:
Mommy was taking photos of the puppies at the Merced County Animal Shelter, trying to back up to get a better photo, and I stuck my paw out and touched her... Then Mommy had to open the tiny cage and took me out. I put my little paws on either side of her neck and hugged her and purred my prettiest!

Bio:
I was a bit of a wild child when mommy brought me home. I bit everyone and everything (nothing like I was at the shelter), and began destroying all the furniture and all I could by chewing it! Well, I had to teach them who was in charge. I stopped trying to bite, and Mommy taught me to be the love cat she adopted. Wanna know how? Just ask Mommy!

How Mommy trained me to be a love cat!

Well, as I wrote in my bio, I wasn't a love kitty when I came to live with Mommy and Daddy and the stupid dogs.

Sooooo, smarty-pants Mommy started feeding me on the garden window in the kitchen, just past the sink. I knew when I heard the sound of the kibbles dropping, FOOD!

But Mommy was smart. She didn't fill my bowl. Oh, no. She only gave me about 10 to 15 kibbles, and let me eat them. Well, I soon learned Mommy was the keeper of the food, so I would start begging. Soon, I started climbing on Mommy... and that would make her go to the cabinet and get out the magic kibble box.

The more I loved on Mommy, the more she gave me food. But only 10 to 15 at a time. Took lots of loving to get my tummy filled, but it was worth it. Now Mommy doesn't ever fill my bowl, but if I work for my food (give love and kisses and sweet cuddles) I can get about as much as a bowlfull each day.

So, that is how a human trained a cat.

oh, p.s.

Beware. They start trying to train you to do other things too! Now I am jumping from the counter onto Mommy's tummy, if she leans back and pats it for me to land on!

BE CAREFUL of smart humans!
