Life on a Deck!

Growing Up

I am getting to be a big girl now. I no longer need Mommy to feed me. I eat at the dish with the other cats now. Monkey Boy my brother and I have taken to living under the deck as it's more fun under there. Though Monkey is so funny and gets into the cobwebs. Our 2 legged Mommy laughed so hard at him the other day I had to come see what he had done. He had cobwebs all over his face and she was taking his picture. Well, hey, I'm the Princess around here so I got into the pictures. He sure was annoyed until Mommy put down that camera and pulled the webs off his face and whiskers. He sure did look funny though.

My 2 legged Mommy brings me inside at night sometimes for a cuddle. She strokes my back and gives my ears a skritch in just the right spot telling me all the while what a beautiful and sweet girl I am. I purr with pleasure until I fall asleep. That's mommy with me asleep on her in one of the pictures. I love her so much today I caught my first bird and brought it to the door to show her how much I loved her. She told me I was wonderful and a very brave huntress. She was very proud of me.

That big, black beast that lives in the house, Mommy says it's name is Misty the dog, came to check out my catch. She gave me her nose and it seems she approved too. I am very pleased to make everyone so happy with me.

Currently I am off to see what else I can catch for Mommy. If it's really good I know I will get another ear skritch and praise.

New World

My brothers and I were born on May 3rd during a thunderstorm. Course, we weren't aware of any of that. We just ate, slept and wriggled around our soft home for the first 2 weeks. When our eyes opened we noticed Momma first who lovingly bathed us and fed us. Then we noticed our 2 legged Momma who changed our bedding and gave us each a cuddle each day. She talks to us often and gives our Momma lots of treats so she can feed us. And we want to eat alot of the time.

We ventured our of our house for the first time on May 29th when Sid showed us the way out the door. We had to have a helping paw from that 2 legged Momma the first few times we wanted back in the house. It's so much softer there. I love how I can wriggle into a corner and get all comfy to sleep.

In fact, I think it's time for a nap. Tell ya more later!
