Feather on a String---Haiku

Feather on a string
Oh how I love to chase you.
Leap, bite, claw. Attack!

You tease me, you do.
From what bird did you come from?
Echo wants to know.

My eyes wide open
Hind quarters raised, muscles flex!
I dare you to move!

The black string goes taut
One slight move and I will pounce!
My claws they shred you!

When you fly I jump.
Ha! Mad acrobatic skills
Triumph once again.

A feline crime scene
Bits of you litter the floor.
Time for new feather!
