Black and White

Playing chase also known as "sneak attack"--I have various places in my apartment where I can get just out of his view. Even if he is half asleep, if I hide from him, he's game!

His water served in a bowl! I came to find Achilles in a bar, and he is adamant about driking out of a glass or a cup.

Favorite Toy:
His pink and green egg that has catnip in it. He also really likes the strip of thin cardboard that comes off of the box of cat litter.

Favorite Nap Spot:
In his bed that is in the corner of the bathroom closet and in "spoon" position with me at night, next to my chest.

Favorite Food:
Science Diet, but truthfully, if he had a choice, it would be Greenies all day!

He is so expressive vocally that I can almost translate it.

Arrival Story:
I was going to meet a friend for a drink in the early evening at a pub that is in my neighborhood. When I got there, I saw on the decked, outdoor part of the bar was a tiny kitten! I had told myself for years to not pick up a stray unless I was fully committed to not only his care, but his complete happiness as well. It was early in the night and the bar wasn't busy yet, but there were several people milling around and this little guy was right in the middle of it all! While I was immediately panicked for him, he was totally un-phased! I went to him and picked him up and he did not object at all. After petting him for a minute, I went inside to meet my friend. I got my drink and tried to be chatty, but my mind was on this kitten outside! He had no collar, no food in sight, and was very close to a street. I didn't even finish my drink--I bolted outside, scooped him up and took him home!

I am a big Brad Pitt fan (jeez, who isn't). I had my "littles" a day or two when I rented the movie "Troy" to watch at home. I would have named him "Brad", but it just didn't sound right! However, Achilles, the Greek god played by Brad Pitt, suited him much better. Not only could I name him after my favorite actor, I noticed on his white legs that he had one patch of black--right over his Achilles heel!

How I freaked out mommy...

How to freak out your human

I think I have it pretty good here with my human. We play together a lot she shows me a lot of love. But sometimes I get bored and I get something called a "wild hair" and do something crazy.

I have several "spots" that I usually nap in. The window sill, the bathroom closet, under the chair in the office. But yesterday I just wanted something different. I found a new spot, and boy was it cozy! I was sleeping just fine when I heard my humans voice. It went on for several minutes and there were two other humans that started making noise and moving around a lot.

I could see her pacing and biting her claws--maybe they were dirty. When she found me, she held me for a long time. It was quiet for a minute, but then I heard *zzzzzzzzzzip zzzzzzzzzzzip zzzzzzzzzzzzip* My human told one of the others not to leave a suitcase open in the house ever again! What's a suitcase?
