Arrival Story: The neighbors who gave us Baby begged us to take her because of her birth defect. The neighbor felt that I would be able to provide her with the love she needed and that she knew that she would get top quality care. I was hesitant to take her, not knowing how I would be able to deal with her spina-bifida but also that we had enough cats already. My husband took one look at her and loved her immediately so then I knew it was alright to take her. We had to make a special litter pan for her at first because she dragged her back legs. At least she did not have any bowel or urinary problems that most kitties have with this defect. Now, she can walk and run as long as she hops like a bunny rabbit with both hind legs held together. She doesn't walk too good and drags her hind end and it looks sore to even watch her at times, poor Sasha! Her condition gets her a lot more special attention and she knows that. She uses her condition to her advantage, otherwise, she don't act or seem to be handicapped in any way except for noticing her how she walks.
Bio: In chilly or cold weather, we do have to put sweaters or shirts on her because she gets cold very easy. She don't seem to mind at all, when we dress her up.
I am so spoiled that mom will not yell at me or tell me to get off the kitchen table. So, I must make sure that my rear end is cleaned nice for mom shouldn't I, that is, if she is going to allow me to have deliquent behavior, I should at least be tidy and as clean as I can.
My mom and dad let me do anything that I want to. They never yell at me or swat me. That is because I wrap them around my finger because I am a handicap. I am wearing my new pink sweatshirt also. I guess I will hang around for some canned tuna or salmon.
Every evening when mom and dad have their supper, I make sure that I sit right next to my mom because she always shares her dinner with me. I especially love it when they have chicken. I don't care how it is cooked, it is yummy.
Mom got me another one of those lovely comfy pink sweatshirts that have a cute applica of a mousie on it. I like to keep extra warm and to keep me from chewing on myself and pulling out my fur, mom keeps a shirt on me. Not only that, I don't mind wearing clothes and I think that I look darned cute myself!
Mom was sad when Love Muffin died. I come over to her lots because I knew she was feeling sad. One of these days, it will be my turn to go to kitty heaven and mom and dad are dreading that. That is life. You are born and live and then you die. I am having a wonderful life where I am spoiled rotten and loved. Mom makes sure that I sleep with her everynight and she likes to have me very close to her.
