Arrival Story:
When I moved to Portland, I was unemployed. I said that as soon as I got a job, I was going to get a cat. I went to the Humane Society 4 times over 2 weeks, and couldn't find the perfect kitty for me. I finally went with 2 of my friends. Angus had been a stray who was picked up, and the Humane Society people had just put him in his cage for adoption. I walked by, and he immediately started yeowling at me. I wanted to play with him, so me, my 2 friends, and the guy from the Humane Society got him in a room. He ignored all three of the other people in the room, jumped in my lap, and started purring and rubbing his head against me. I knew I had found my kitty.
Bio:
Since he was a stray, no one is really sure how old he is. The vet estimated that Angus was 4 or 5 when I got him, so he's about 9 now. His first name comes from the Irish god of love (since he's such a loverboy), and his middle name is (more or less) Gaelic for "red."
