Seal Point

Yippy/hyper dogs.

Favorite Toy:
She's beyond toys.

Favorite Nap Spot:
Hammock on the balcony.

Favorite Food:
Yogurt - any flavor.

She bats a bell hanging from a chair to let me know the wet food dish needs replenishing. Never rings it any other time.

Arrival Story:
She was brought into my veterinary clinic with a swollen eye caused by a seed under her eyelid. She didn't belong to the couple who brought her in and they couldn't keep her due to the no pets rule at their apartment. She'd been with the clinic about 3 weeks when I had to put my 12-year-old male to sleep. The techs had her behind the counter when I came in the next day to pay the bill and I fell instantly in love with her. She came home the following day (after I had a powwow with my 3 males) and has been with me for over 11 years.

When the breed book described the Snowshoe as "bomb proof" they were talking about this one. She's so calm and unimpressed with most happenings around her that people don't think of her as a cat. In fact, most people assume I'm taking a dog for a walk when she's on her leash. The only time her last nickname comes to life is when she decides that my priorities are not matching up with hers (which is usually about 2 o'clock in the morning). She will find the most important piece of paperwork and turn it into bite-sized pieces of confetti in order to express her displeasure. She seldom talks, but will be quite vocal when some thought is deemed important enough to share. Her only downfall is having been cursed with chronic asthma. She may end up having more than 9 lives due to the number of times I've almost lost her when she has "crashed". I count my blessings daily knowing that my time with her has far exceeded the expectations of several vets and emergency clinics. Now you'll understand my motto!

Forums Motto:

Tomorrow will be one year since Phoebe decided to leave for her last and greatest adventure. I miss my girl terribly, but am very thankful for the many years I had with her.

Phoebe, I will always love you and will miss you the rest of my life. Thank you for giving me so many good years together.
Love, hugs, purrs, and kisses,

4 months

It's been 4 months today that Phoebe disappeared. I'm changing her status to "no longer with us". It just kills me to do it because it means I'm admitting she's really gone. At least the last time I saw her she was happy and curled up in her pink bed - not at the vet being euthanized. That I am thankful for.

I miss you girl and always will, but it's time to let you go.
Love forever and ever,
