He was one of our own female Siamese kitty's litter. She had accidentally gotten lost while we moved from Oregon to Washington. My son John Paul took over the responsibility of bottle feeding him and his sister and bathing them also.
The ressurected Spider turned up exactly a year after our first Spider was dead. He looks exactly the same.
In the year of 1994, he mysteriously disappeared until the year of 1999, he showed back up at our front door. We think somebody had maybe stolen him because now he was fixed and he looked all weathered and beaten up by the elements like he had come a long way. He had aged beyond the years he actually was also. He had arthritus, his eye was runny and the vet said he had very severe conjunctivitus that could only be fixed by most probably an operation. At least my husband allowed me to give him antibiotic eye medicine for him as needed. He had a tail injury and his back was sore. In otherwords, the poor kitty had truly been through a whole lot. He had urinary tract infections that I took him to the vets for. The dear sweet old man kitty knew I loved him and was taking care of him. He was so sweet natured and gentle. He still liked to chase younger women even though he was fixed. The cymric Manx next door, a young female, Chyenne was her name, the mother of our manx kitty girls, he courted. The next door neighbors thought that he was the father of her litters because they caught them together and they hung out and laid beside one another all the time. He would even show up at their back door asking for her to come out. I think Sweetpea thought he was her daddy.
Our new Spider showed up unexpectedly at our door. He looks exactly like Spider, so what else can we call him but Spider Jr.! He loves his food. He loves all the goodies that I give him. He even sheds really badly like our Spider Sr.
Are you my daddy?
