Arrival Story:
Poe was a semi-feral kitty - abandoned in a backyard for 2 years and then in a garage for another 2 years. When Po arrived, she immediately hid under the bed for 6 months. She was startled by every sound and reacted fearfully (hissing, scratching & biting) towards all people, cats and dogs. It took over 2 years, but Poe worked hard and overcame so many fears. Today, Poe is a confident, curious, and contented cat. A playful nature eventually emerged and she even learned to tolerates the dog - her biggest challenge. Poe is still wary of the world, but she has come a long, long way. Poe is a good girl at heart. She will always have a home with us.
