I am Mimi and I am my Mom's little baby. I am the only one (of her three babies) that she has had since we were kittens. I came from a sod farm, where she tried to get my siblings, but one was too fat to put in the box and the other flew out of the box. When she saw me, she knew she wanted me, but tried for them because my auntie Denise suggested it. It was fate, We are bonded for life.
We took a car and a bus and a Subway to get home that day because my Mommy lived in the city. When we got to the bus portion of our commute home, the driver did not want to let me on the bus. We cleverly hid me from the next bus driver(in a bag) where she sat and fed me Portuguese sausage all the way home. The subway was easy and we finally got home. On the whole trip, which took over 2 hours, I did not make a peep. When I got home, I found a safe place and only came out when I felt safe. I then found some toys and did not stop playing for months.
When I got a little older, my Mom brought my sister Meeka home. I am glad she came, I tried to show her the ropes but she hissed at me a whole bunch. I think she missed her previous family alot. After a few days, she got used to us and Mommy decided it was time for us to explore the small backyard where we lived. Meeka could jump and play and climb trees. I would try to follow her, she could get down, but I could not. I got stuck on the roof of the garage in the backyard and my Mommy would always rescue me. I never left the backyard and always stayed close to my Mom. As well, Meeka would always have to rescue me from this grumpy orange long hair(not well brushed at all) cat that lived upstairs. She would sometimes sit at our window and hiss at Meeka and I until my Mom would shoo her away. My Mom did not have anything good to say about that cat and would always hug me when that happened. I can always count on Mom for hugs when I am feeling bad.
Throughout our lives, Mom would have some male friends. Sometimes they would be around for years and other times, not-so-long. Some were not very nice to her, but I would always go to my Mommy and cuddle with her when she was feeling sad. She would then sing me show tunes, I did not like it, But Meeka thought it was the cats meow!
We moved a few times, but we came to our present home in BC after a long drive in a large cage across the country. Meeka and I were scared, but we were brave. Mommy took me out on my leash and harness to look at the mountains and prairies. Meeka would not come out though, she would only get out to go to the motel rooms at night. I would cuddle with Meeka in the cage to let her know that our Mom would never let any harm come to us.
After we got used to our home in BC, with the large and lovely backyard (where I can sit on the porch forever and where gramma and grampa have and endless supply of tuna), Our baby brother came to us. He is like nothing you have ever seen, he is what they call a dog. He runs clumsily up and down the stairs and is always sitting by my Mommy. He tries very hard to be Moms number 1 baby, but there is only one spot for number one and that is me!
I always put and end to Ozzie hogging my mommy. I jump right on top of him sometimes and make myself comfy in my Mommy lap, where I insist that she pets me for hours on end. I have been hers for the longest and know that on her lap and in her heart is where I belong. If Mommy is not available, Gramma and Grampa will do, I love them too! and Ozzie, if you are reading this(of course he cant read, he is not so smart at all!), stop smelling my bum!
