Arrival Story:
Said cat grew up in a tough, rural area of Northern Washington. Typical small town story - knocked up at 9 months, had to scrounge for food, no love from the owners. So when her kittens were weaned, she hightailed it out of that hell hole and landed at Auntie Susie's postoffice - literally right on her desk. Aunti Susie took one look at her and knew that she belonged in Belltown with her Auntie Susie's sister. So said cat lived with Auntie Susie for about a month, and then one day she was forced into the car to travel for an hour in a horrid cardboard box. She was then transferred to the car of her new mom and her new mom's best friend. Immediately said cat convinced them that the back window of the car was a more suitable place for her to ride. Her new mom and her new mom's best friend took one look at her and both at the same time called her Amelie (after the movie - it's basically that said cat would look good in a beret and has a "soul patch") So from that point on, said cat was called Amelie, or more appropriatly we would find out, Smelly Mellie.
Bio:
Mellie and Sharm have a band called Smelly Mellie and the Mange, you should check them out. They do mostly covers, but are currently on an Eastern Instrumental (big into the sitar) kick. They do have a hit though that you might have heard of 'You Can Call Me Mellie, Just Don't Call Me Late For Dinner)
