Where's My Breakfast Meowmy?

Meow,

So meowmy had a free bagel coming to her on her MyPanera card, so she decided she would go over to Panera and get herself some breakfast. She came home with a chocolate chip bagel (which I can't eat due to the chocolate), some oatmeal with blueberries, granola, and a cinnamon crunch topping on it and a iced green tea. My question is: Mom didn't you remember to pick up my tuna sandwich on a plain bagel? Of course not, hmmf! Anymeow, I did get in a couple licks of the margarine meowmy put on her bagel. That is it though.

Meowmy also told me that if the weather is nice today, she is going to go kayacking on the Fox River. I wonder why she can't take me? There are fish in that river right? I could go catch breakfast, lunch and dinner! Meowmy reminds me that this does involve water though and that I hate getting wet. Good point, but I still think that it is unfair that I can't go out and do a lot of the same things meowmy is doing.

Gingerbread Chai Latte Purrlease!

No, I'm not in a cafe. Rather I just wanted to share with everycat what I attempted to do this morning. You see meowmy had made herself this Gingerbread Chai and she had it sitting on the computer desk. Well as a lot of you cats know, the computer desk is a favorite hang out spot for a lot of us. Anymeow, I could just smell the aroma coming from meowmy's mug. I slowly walked over and proceeded to sniff the cup when I heard meowmy yell "NO COLLEEN" and she pulled me away. Meowmy told me that the caffeine content would not be good for me. Bummer, how come a lot of things our human pawrents eat/drink are so bad for us? I never could understand that. Cat food gets so old and boring after a while if you know what I mean.

Am I In Cowgirl Country?

Meow,

Of course I am! I am talking about the awful hot, dry weather we have been having over the last three days. It has been over 100 degrees here in Wisconsin, which is rare for us. You would think I was in cowgirl country in Arizona with these temperatures. Needless to say, meowmy tells me that it is just too hot for me to go out strolling. She is worried about me getting over heated. Oh well, I guess I'll just have to pretend I'm a cowgirl. Meowmy was really thinking when she picked out the border for my room that has a cowboy theme with cats on it. All I need for it to be cowgirl country for real is some scorpions, rattlesnakes, lizards, and little wild pigs just like what my friends Samoa, Newman, Gleek, and Inky have near them.

Anymeow, I sure hope everycat who is dealing with this oppressive heat is staying cool. I've been getting my beauty rest in the nice air conditioning. Sometimes I jump in my stroller and take a nap.

I Was Left Home Alone While Meowmy Saw Birdies!

Again, I'm not a very happy kitty. Meowmy, Grandmaw and Grandpaw all went to Prairie Du Chien and into Iowa for a couple days and they didn't bother to take me with either. Yesterday, they went on a bird watching cruise and meowmy tells me that she saw a couple of Blue Herrings, more Bald Eagles than she's ever seen in her life and some finches. I certainly would have enjoyed this cruise. I wonder if the birds would have came up closer if I was there or if they just would have flown away.

Also, meowmy tells me that they went to a restaurant last night that had a buffet with several types of fish, shrimp and chicken. My mouth is watering just thinking of it and here I was stuck at home eating my usual dry cat food. That's just not right don't you think?

Also, if any of you cats recall the late, great Rocky Ann talking about Zippy, well meowmy tells me that she saw about two or three Zippy look a likes today at Wyalusing State Park when they stopped there on their way home. Again, I really would have liked to get to see a Zippy up close. Rocky Ann always talked about Zippy with such fondness.

Anymeow, I got my revenge on meowmy. I left her a nice big surprise to clean up on the carpet of my bedroom. That's right, I hacked up a nice big hairball for her just to show her my disgust.

Cats Have Taken to The Streets!

I'm not talking about a protest either. I'm talking about the fact that the street near us is a total mess and there are these big yellow Cats hanging out all along the side of the road. Sometimes they are moving and they make the strangest noise. They certainly don't meow. I really wonder why they call them Cats? They sure are funny looking too!

Happy Father's Day!

Happy Father's Day to all of the fur daddies out there! I don't have a daddy to celebrate with, but I do have a Grandpaw that I'm rather fond of. Whenever he comes over, he pays very good attention to me and makes it a point to play with me. Anymeow, I bought him (with my meowmy/secretary's help) a Happy Father's Day Grandpa card and a gift which I won't say right now just incase he might be reading this. Grandmaw and Grandpaw are going to brunch this morning, but meowmy can't make it as she has to work so they are all going to have a pizza party tonight. I wonder where my invitation is? I would like my very own pizza with extra anchovies.

Meowmy is having wings without me!

Meeeooowww!

Not a happy cat this morning. Meowmy is talking about going over to Applebees for lunch today and having her free wings. As some of you cats may know, my meowmy won free wings for a year at Applebees earlier in the year. I bet she probably won't think to leave any for me. She never seems to. She says something about how they have sauce on them that might not be real good for me. I say who cares. Chicken is chicken to a kitty! Any other cat's thoughts on this matter will be greatly appreciated.

I'm also not very happy that meowmy is going off tonight with Grandmaw and Grandpaw for Concerts in The Park at Whitnall. She could have loaded me up in the stroller. Again, she says something about me continually meowing and disturbing the people around us. This just isn't fair!

Professional Photo Shoot Last Night!

As I was meowing in my diary last night, meowmy and I went up to her church to have our pictures professionally taken. They took some of just meowmy, just me, and some of meowmy and I. We ordered some special pictures for us and one set for Grandmaw and Grandpaw. Meowmy also got a CD that she will be able to print more pictures off of on her own to put in holiday cards to all of our best friends and relatives.

I was pretty good last night for the photo shoot. I growled and hissed a couple times, but that was only because I was scared and in an unfamiliar place. The photographer was very patient with me and had this big feathery thing on a pole that was quite amusing. Of course I had my meowmy holding onto me most of the time and the photographer took one shot of me inside my stroller which turned out really good.

Car Ride To A Place I Haven't Been Yet!

Meow,

So meowmy informs me that I am going to be going for a car ride. I'm not so sure I like this idea. She tells me that we are going to a place called St. Leonard's Catholic Church to get our picture taken. I guess that is o.k. as Catholic has Cat in the name right? It must be a cat friendly place. I just wonder why meowmy hasn't taken me here before. She tells me that she hasn't done this as this is supposed to be a holy place where people worship and it would be very disrespectful if I started meowing really loud during the service. She told me that I need to try and behave when we are there to get out picture taken and that I need to try and look as cute as possible in the pictures as some of them will be going out to friends and family in holiday cards.

Meowmy, Purrlease Bring Me Home Some Cat Food Samples While- You Are Out Tonight!

Meow,

So meowmy is going to this street festival near where we live called Jammin on Janesville. A lot of businesses along the road are giving out samples and having $1 food items to try and bring in business while road construction is being done. There is also live entertainment too. One of the businesses participating just happens to be my vet's office The Animal Doctor. I sure hope they are giving out free samples of cat food this year. Also, maybe they will be selling nip toys. They were last year. Hopefully meowmy will come home with presents tonight. It's going to be a little chilly out, otherwise meowmy would take me with her in the stroller, but she doesn't want me to get cold.
