Today meowmy made a trip to my vet's office this afternoon to pick up some treats and food for me and to drop off some litterbox liners and anti-scratch things for furniture that I don't use. I figured since I don't use them, then maybe they could use them for the clinic kitties or one of the employees could use them for their own cats. Meowmy picked me up a couple cans of Tiki - Salmon and Chicken flavor and Chicken and Egg flavor, some Merricks moist food - Surf and Turf, Cowboy Cookout, Grammy's Pot Pie, and Turducken. She also bought me a new Yeooww! Catnip Heart as the one I currently had had a big hole in it. While at the vet's office meowmy saw a couple of the orange tabby clinic cats sleeping in their beds and their Savannah cat, Leo who was roaming around and very curious as to what customers were buying. Leo has beautiful markings according to meowmy and is somewhere around 20 lbs. and is friendly.
Speaking of my vet's office. They have a pawsome new website - www.animaldoctormuskego.com. They have some very helpful how to videos on how to administer medication to your pet and how to bath a cat. These videos are all staring my vet Dr. Jodie and the clinic animals. The video on how to bath a cat I found rather interesting, especially since I am one of those cats who hates baths. Basically, you are supposed to get a big pan out and fill it with water, but it is impawtant that us cats do not see the running water. Then you are supposed to swaddle us in a towel, kinda like a baby and then set us in the pan of water and take a little bowl and scoop up some water and slowly poor it over us. The cat in the video was surprisingly calm. Also, they have this pawsome new forum feature where you can interact with the vet and other pet parents. I also enjoyed reading the clinic cat and dog's stories and getting to know more about them.
Anymeow, it's been a snowy day here. I enjoyed lounging in my favorite recliner in the living room this morning.
Today meowmy went to the Great Lakes Pet Expo. Unfortunately, pets couldn't come unless they were with a certain vendor. Well, that was o.k. because meowmy brought me home plenty of treats and goodies and from what she told me she had a pawsome time.
She brought me home some yummy cat treats from a local pet food bakery and a few other cat treats. She also bought me a nice, soft pink mat with peace signs on it and my favorite present - a big, homemade catnip kick toy that has pirates all over it. She also bought me a little stuffed caterpillar that she won and Newman if you are reading, you'll love this, she won it by paying a dollar to scoop a plastic poopie out of a litter box. What meowmies won't do for us cats! She also had a very cute drawing made of me by this artist that was at my vet clinic's booth. Meowmy has it hanging on her bedroom wall.
While she was at the show, she got to look at and pet several little kittens. She got hand kisses from a pitbull doggie that was really sweet. Meowmy told me that there was supposed to be a pitbull there that was rescued from the whole Michael Vick situation. She doesn't think she actually saw it though. She also got to hold a pretty orange rat snake. She also saw some king snakes and some corn snakes. There was also a really huge, yellow python there that she got to touch. She also got to touch a cute little leopard gecko. Also, meowmy saw some really cute baby ragdoll kitties there and thought of my friends Mittens, Tiskers, and Porkchop. She wishes she could have brought some of the animals home, but one she doesn't have the money to take care of all of them and two, I would not be a happy camper. You see, I am the princess after all. I really would not like having to compete with another animal for meowmy's attention.
Anymeow, today has turned out to be a really pawsome Saturday. As I said in a previous diary entry, I'm just going to take it easy tomorrow on Superbowl Sunday and make it my catnap day.
Well as you might know I tend to root for the Green Bay Packers when it comes to football so naturally, I'm a little bummed they didn't make it to the Superbowl this year, so I've designated Super Bowl Sunday as Super Catnap Day! You see meowmy is going over by Grandmaw and Grandpaw's house that day and will probably watch a little of it, but certainly won't be glued to the television. They are also ordering pizza, which in my younger days would have been delicious, but I don't eat people food so much anymore.
Anymeow, hope everycat enjoys their weekend and Happy Ground Hog Day today!
