indoors Arrival Story: I took him home from a farm. Bio: Jasper was born on a farm along with 2 sisters. His mother died from an unknown cause, but she would have neglected Jasper anyway because he was born with a "gimp" in one of his front paws. Jasper was cared for after his mom died by a dog. The dog was very gentle and caring of him and his sisters. I ended up bringing him home with me very early in his life, but he adjusted nicely. My new favorite toy is a bright green pipecleaner my Daddy found for me! I play with it all day and when I'm not playing with it, I sit on it or sit near it, keeping at least one paw on it so no one takes it!
When I want someone to throw it for me, I do my "howl meows" till someone comes! I even bring it upstairs if that's where the people are! I especially like it when Daddy throws it for me.

OK well I know I never do this, but I'm asking you all to please keep me, Jasper, in your thoughts and prayers, as I am sick.
Long story made short, my Mom noticed blood coming out of my back end on Sunday, so I was rushed to the emergency vet. It turned out I had a urinary tract infection which stretched my bladder out to about 3 times its size. I needed emergency surgery and stayed overnight, which ended up costing Mom an outrageous amount....
The next day Mom picked me up and took me to my regular vet, and she told Mom there is nerve damage in my spine and bum, and it was possible I was hit by a car, or fell, or had my tail pulled hard...
I am doing better today but most likely will have to stay at the vet for the rest of the week, until I can pee by myself without use of a catheter.
So yeah, please keep me, Jasper, in your thoughts. I miss my family and want to go home soon.
I lost my collar...and only a couple months after my mum bought me a brand new name tag with my phone number on it and everything. The second time this summer I have lost it. Maybe it will turn up again.
I took off for over 24 hours, exploring my new neighbourhood! I don't know why mum was so worried for me. I wish I could tell her I was ok, and not to worry so much. And today, I jumped on the shed roof, stayed there awhile, then took a nap right on top of the flower bed!! I got my picture taken doing that...oops!!!
