Gee, time flies. So many things have happened since my last diary entry.
We lost our good friend, Smokey. He was a good guy and he & I never had any quarrels. I do miss seeing him around but since he was an inside cat and I stay outside, I really didn't get to see him all that much. But if he did come out for an adventure, he and I were always civil with one another and I had great respect for the old guy.
I do have a new "thorn in my side" though. Mom & Dad got a new puppy and boy is she a pain. She used to be kind of fun to tease but since she has grown so much, I just try to avoid her at all times. I think that she really isn't a dog at all, but a moose in the making! LOL!!!
Mom took the pup for a walk back to the woods yesterday and I wanted to go too, so I tagged along. Well, the dumb dog chased me and my only alternative was to spit, hiss, slap and then run for my life. Fortunately, there was a briar patch along the pathway which I ducked into and the dumb dog couldn't follow me in there. I waited until Mom got the leash back on the dog and came to rescue me. We walked back to the house, then, but I stayed waaaayyy behind. This dog is going to have to learn "her place", if you know what I mean. I have been getting the ole claws sharpened up and I will be waiting for her!!
Gotta run now. The mutt has gone to bed for the night so I can finally eat my supper in peace. She lives in a kennel when she isn't outside with Mom or Dad so I can enjoy my freedom when she is in her pen. My life has been so stressful lately that I cherish every moment of peace and quiet that I can get!
