Seal Point

She loves all the attention she can get!

Being home alone and not getting attention.

Favorite Toy:
Me! She thinks I am hers to play with as she pleases.

Favorite Nap Spot:
In my lap or on the bed beside me.

Favorite Food:
Whiskas wet foods in gravy so she can lick all the gravy off.

Balancing in very high precarious places. She is also a water loving cat who has gone so far as to actually get into the bathtub when my daughter was taking a bath. She is a thumb sucker too and she thinks my thumb is hers to use whenever she pleases.

Arrival Story:
Our Daisy was an orphaned farm kitty that we brought home at around 4 weeks old. She came from a litter of 4 beautiful Snowshoes but she was the one who stole my heart the moment I saw her!

Daisy is an extremely curious kitty. She thinks she belongs in the middle of whatever I am doing. If I am washing dishes, she climbs in the dishwasher. If I am fixing lunch, she climbs into the fridge. She even stands on the tub while I am taking a shower. She "demands" constant attention and she is frantic if we leave her home for even a few hours. Since she was orphaned so young, she has always demonstrated suckling behavior. At a few months old, she decided that my thumb was her object of choice to suck on! It doesn't matter what I am doing, if she decides she wants to such my thumb, she will grab my arm with her front paws and pull my thumb to her mouth. It is always so funny when we have company at our house to see their reaction when she suddenly comes and demands to suck my thumb. She is a very vocal cat and likes to have "conversations" where I hum to her and she hums back to me. She will continue going back and forth like that until you stop. After moving to a new house, Daisy went missing for a full week. We had no idea if she was trapped somewhere or had been killed. After a week passed with no signs of her, no phone calls from our missing posters, and her not turning up at the shelter, we gave up hope that we would see her again. I cried my eyes out thinking that the most precious cat I had ever owned was gone forever. Then one morning she showed up on the doorstep frantic. She couldn't decide if she wanted to eat or suck my thumb or get a drink of water. We never did find out what happened to her while she was missing. But we have made sure she has never been able to get outside again. After Daisy's kittens were born we had her spayed. She did not do well during her spay and ended up spending a week at the vet. She was so ill when we brought her home that she was shrinking away. We were afraid that we were going to lose her again. But now, 6 months later, she is fatter than ever and doing great! We lost our precious girl November 17. Something spooked her and she just never came home again. She was hands down the most precious of all animals that I have ever had the extreme pleasure and blessing of having in my life. She will forever be missed. Mommy's Daisy Girl :(
