I drove a friend to pick up a Persian kitten from a breeder. She knew I had lost a cat recently and insisted I get one of the other kittens. I said no, I still have plenty of cats. Plus, I wasn't sure if I wanted another Persian as they are lots of work and I don't particularly care for the flat faced look the breeders have gone to. But my friend was insistant. So much so that she actually baught one of the other kittens and gave him to me.
Bio:
Scotch was not with us for very long. About 6 weeks after he came to our home, he started having breathing difficulties. We took him to the emergency veterinarian rather than wait for the next day for our regular doctor. They did tests and xrays and put him on oxygen immediately. He was there overnight. The next morning we were told he had a massive infection and almost no lung capacity left with which to breath. He could not survive for more than a few minutes outside of the oxygen cubicle he was in. It broke my heart to let the little fella go, but it was the only choice.
Fior that oh so short time he was with us, Scotch was super sweet and affectionate. He also loved being goomed, unlik the other Persians I had had in the past. He wasn't with us long, but left a big hole in my heart.
