Favorite Nap Spot: By the front window where the sun shines in.
Favorite Food: Purina CatChow Indoor formula.
Skills: Hiding. No doubt about it. Her color doesn't help much, either.
Arrival Story: I saw a tiny black kitten living in the drainage pipe in front of my house one day. I managed to catch this little black boy (Kozmo) and put him in the house under quarantine. The next day, another black ball of fur was right outside in the same place. After checking to make sure I still had the first one, I went to catch this one who is now Julie. She was more shy than her brother, though. I had to take her brother out there and let her see him before she would let me get close enough to get a hold of the back of her neck. After a trip to the vet, she had to have daily vitamin drops and worming medicine, etc. I think this is why she is so shy even with me.
She has come a long way from her troubled kittenhood. She now lets me pet her. She even hunts me down for a quick rub. She bolts at the first sign of other people, though.
Apparently meowmy has forgotten the dimensions of a kitteh head. There was this nice bowl with some lovely fresh water in it. I wish it had a little more in it, though. I had to reach way down. The rim of the bowl went all the way up to my ears! Would somebody please tell meowmy I would like to have a little more water in that bowl?
Oh.. Wait.. Meowmy said something about one of us drinking out of her cup. Surely she didn't mean me?
While we're at it. Would someone tell her to leave more milk in the bowl when she has cereal, too? I don't know why she doesn't do that.
I have found an activity that I really like. The window in Meowmy's bedroom gets some sun in the afternoon and there is sunlight that comes streaming in. I love the warm rays bouncing off of my exceptionally shiny fur. Meowmy really likes petting me because my fur is so soft. The only problem I have with this place to sunbathe is that it's not big enough for all of us. Other kitties keep trying to get into the sun puddle and we end up fussing at each other. I guess we just have to race and be there before the sun gets there.
There is a bug that pesters us from time to time. It's very elusive. I guess it has to be, because it is very easy to see. It's bright red in color and even crawls right in front of us! We can't help but chase it. I've always managed to avoid falling under its spell... until now. I couldn't help it. It was right there in front of me... begging to be caught. I thought for sure that I'd be able to catch it, but it managed to slip away. Then it crawled on top of my paw. MY PAW!!! I couldn't believe this bug was acting like that! So I put my other paw on top of the bug, but it managed to crawl to the top of that paw! I don't know what to do to catch that darn bug.
