Arrival Story:
Lucky was an adorable little kitten waiting patiently behind glass, for someone to take her home. She was calmly squinting her eyes, her red tortie fur gleaming in the sun, looking beautiful and sweet, and ever so perfect for our sadly catless family. We took her home minutes later and realizes the cool customer we met earlier, was actually a little bit neurotic and fraidy. She spent most of her kittenhood under the bed, hiding from the squeals of delight our 3 year old would let out whenever she saw her beloved pet. Lucky was named after Maneki Neko, the Japanese beckoning cat, which I collect obsessively. Lucky fast became daddy's favorite, and took every opportunity she could to hop into his lap or crawl under a blanket with him... in a pinch mother will do though. Later on she adapted well to sharing her home with other feline friends, though she maintained her position as queen of the castle, and tends to see them as her loyal subjects. She has led a very sheltered and spoiled life, which I guess makes her very lucky indeed! Lucky loves to scuttle around the house wildly and skeeter around on the laminate flooring sideways. She chews every plant we have ever had down to stubbs and is very excited about open windows. She is a nervous little tortie witha fabulous tabby attitude.

Personal Space

Perhaps it's because I had run of this place all to myself for like 2 years, but I like a certain amount of space. I have a bubble around me if you will, of personal space that needs to stay vacant in order for me to be comfortable, ESPECIALLY if you are a little smelly boy cat.

Now Sprinkles on the other hand, is very clingy. He wants to cuddle with me, groom me, sing to me and play with me. I don't mind the little guy, but I get mad when he tried to lick my fur and stuff, that's just too weird... I can groom my own fur thanks!

Crazy contraption

I don't know what mum was trying to pull. Yesterday she put this devil contraption on me... I think she called it a harness. I HATED it so much I laid down, squished myself flat right in front of her and refused to move until she took it off. It was a battle of the wills.

She kept telling me that I could start going outside if I would just adapt to the contraption, but I refuse to compromise when it comes to that thing. She tried to put me down, get me walking around, just in case I might change my mind, but I just lurched back on the bed and stared at her, flat and upset, until she gave up. Thank goodness it didn't take too long!

I hope she doesn't try that again, I could tolerate a flea collar, but my armpits are off limits lady!!!

Beads and threads are so interesting!

Mum is home from work and she is working on some of her crafty projects... I just love watching her with all of those little bitty things that are so fun to punch and fling around the room. She always picks up the string because Sprinkles eats it, but I just love watching her... one of these days I'll get into that bead box when she isn't looking and make one heck of a mess!
