indoors Arrival Story: I was hanging out in a parking lot when these two humans showed up and put me in their car and took me home. That was nice because it was cold and wet outside. Next thing I knew I was going to a vet. I didn't like these humans for a long time after that. But my Daddy has always treated me like royalty so in time I've grown to love him. I even love Mom, but only if Dad's not available. Bio: From the day I came to live with my Mom and beloved Daddoo I have been spoiled rotten. I love to sit by the door and watch all that goes on. I love to crawl into bed, sneeze on Mom and Dad and then curl up under the blankets and purr my Daddy to sleep. When he comes home I walk to the kitchen, flop and land belly up waiting patiently for him to rub my tummy and say hello. If he's busy, I will wait forever with just an occasion squeakypurr sound and a bit of a scootching closer to where he is. When I do that he feels bad and I get treats too! How I adore him! I have the greatest Daddy in the world! Lives Remaining: 5 of 9 Forums Motto: HRH is busy, leave a message The Groups I'm In: 10 YEARS OR OVER??? Yesterday we took little Diamond to the vet for the last time. She still managed to get a few growls and swipes in, so as usual she had to be sedated. Feisty until the end...
We had to once again make that awful decision to let a furbaby go. She was diagnosed with lymphoma and she was probably in a very advanced stage.
Sometimes you do something for so long that it becomes an unconscious routine. I opened my eyes today and said good morning .... no little pink nose in my face, no meow meow meow. I slowly sat up and thought how do I begin my days without her purring and meowing and nagging at me?
We're still lucky that we have Ashley left. She's not herself right now either. They weren't a snuggly pair with each other but over the years they definitely learned to work as a team to mooch treats or pin us down on a couch if they weren't feeling loved quite enough. I hope Ash adjusts to being an only child.
I haven't been enjoying the summer as much as I normally would. I do miss the mom being home all day. She would keep the windows and doors open so I could see and hear the birds. But she says she refuses to leave the door open while she's away at work. I wouldn't let anyone in! Still, she says no. I hate when she says no.
To appease me, my Darling Daddoo installed a pole with a large birdfeeder right outside the window. Then my cat tree was moved directly in front of said window. How splendid! I cannot believe the birdshow I am treated to now. Wrens, chickadees, grackles, cardinals, blue jays, finches and doves all grace our yard now. All this birdwatching makes for a tired princess. *yawn* Time to catnap.
I should have written about this last weekend but I was in such a state, I was at a loss for meows. Last weekend two of my favorite Catsters, Princess Pooter and King Rascal, were married. Oh what a ceremony! What a magnificat couple! I cannot believe I had the priviledge of being maid of honor for them. So many of our furriends were there and evfurrycat looked stunning! And then, somewhere in the romance of it all, my Cinni asked me to marry him! I almost wondered if it was a dream! He's so purrfect. He looked divine in his tux, not that he needs any adornment as he's a FINE looking tomcat. He's the ultimate detective - he could outSherlock Holmes with 3 paws tied behind his back. He's a fine dancer, so light on his persimmon tipped paws, it's like swirling through clouds with him. I think I shall take a long catnap and dream of chasing bunnies through catnip fields with my Prince Charming!
