Coloration: Tortoiseshell Tabby
Likes: Sleeping on foreign objects, walking on the keyboard, licking dryer sheets, jumping up on someone's lap right when they're going to get up to go somewhere nice and I get hair all over them, love and attention, drinking water out of the faucet, belly rubs
Pet-Peeves: Nero, Nibbles, when I get booted off the sink and I'm trying to drink, getting booted off the desk when someone is typing, hairballs, going to the vet, dirty litterboxes, having my toenails clipped, being told not to walk on the keyboard.
Favorite Toy: My catnip bags, my play mice, Nero
Favorite Nap Spot: The bed
Favorite Food: I have a kidney deficiency so it has to be Hills Prescription Diet k/d... but mom is making all-natural kitty kidney deficiency food for me now so I don't have any of those yucky by-products. No cow hooves for me!
Skills: I can pretty much almost talk because my meows are so expressive. I am also so photogenic, that the photo of me sleeping with the book on my back was posted on www.stuffonmycat.com!!!!

Arrival Story: Azriel showed up on the doorstep of our apartment in Windham CT starved, smelly, and uncared for. Erin took her in and cleaned her up, cut her ingrown toenails, and fed her properly, thereby giving her enough confidence to become a lapcat. I was named Azriel because I have every color on me, and I have so many toes that my owners thought that "smurfy" would describe me--it means "everything"--so they named me after Gargamel's cat.
Bio: Azriel was put to sleep on July 22, 2008.
She was my best friend. Putting her out of her pain was the hardest thing I've ever done. She had medical complications which arose out of her CRF. She is in a far better place... I hope to see her again someday. She was the best cat I've ever had. Her biggest flaw was loving people too much. I miss you, Azriel.
Forums Motto: I have 24 toes

I've Been On Catster Since:
Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge.
When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge.
There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together.
There is plenty of food, water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable.
All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor; those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by.
The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind.
They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent; His eager body quivers. Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster.
You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart.
Wahoo! My mom loves stuffonmycat.com so much that she entered me in their photo contest! Lots of people had more intricate and exciting pictures, but I wasn't very patient. She put a sign on me and had Nibbles sit with me, which wasn't nice, but we'll see how it goes! Vote for me! =) You can see my pic right here, with Nibbles.
Thank you, Catster! This is my second biggest honor, next to being on "Stuffonmycat.com." That is one of my mom's favorite sites because along with Catster, there are nerdy pages of cats everywhere which make her laugh out loud. Also, "cuteoverload.com" is full of cute and funny pictures which are so cute and snuggly... The picture which made Stuffonmycat was the one of me with my mom's book laying on me. She was doing a paper for one of her Graduate classes, and I was so tired but I wanted to be near her so I fell asleep right next to her on the couch as she was writing. I love when people cover me when I'm sleeping, so when she put the book on me, it was pretty comfy. Then she had to go and put the pencil between my toes, and I loooooove pencils (I love to steal them when people are using them, bite them when they're writing, and bat them under the fridge), so that was fun. My mom was so excited about the picture that she emailed everyone in her class at college, including the professor who seemed to love it the most. Its easy to please my mom because whatever I do, she thinks I'm the most beautiful thing ever and gives me good scratches under my chin and lots of snuggles and belly-rubs. I think it's just because I'm "me..." But we can talk! When I talk to mom, she talks right back (although she may not always "get" what I'm saying). We have good chats, especially if I'm on the sink or next to the tub and she's taking a bath. Those are some long conversations.
