Arrival Story:
My adoptive mommy saw me from her bathroom windo when I was very small...about 3 weeks old. My kitty mommy is one of the neighborhood feral cats. My human mommy came outside and picked me up. Itried to run, but I was too little. I hissed, but she didn't care. She fed me and took care of me, and now I love her very much and never hiss at her.

Bio:
When my human mommy found me and took me in, I had lots of fleas so I kepts getting baths til they were gone. I also had a big abcess on my one shoulder where another big cat had taken a bite of me. Mommy took me to the doctor and I was soon all better. When I was about 6 weeks old, I got too curious about the dog's breakfast and he snapped at me. I was soooo tiny yet that he hurt me unintentionally. Mommy and Daddy picked me up and took me very quickly to the emergency doctor. They thought I might not make it since I was so small and in shock, but I fooled them. I was able to come home then next day, though it did take me a about a week to really start running and playing again. that dog(Sailor) is now my best friend and we often sleep together and no more fights about food. then the next thing, I got a bad spot on my one eye. the doctor thought it might have to come out, but it healed. I can't see out of that eye, but it doesn't slow me down. I dan do everything...run, jump, play...cause all kinds of trouble.

Getting to know me.

Well, a lot of what to know about me is in my bio, so I won't bore you by repeating it.
My birthday will be celebrated on June 13th. Since I was born to a feral mother cat, my mommy does not know exactly when my birthday was. I was about 3 weeks old when she found me, so she counted backwards and decided that I could share Daddy's birthday.
Now you have to admit, I do have a rather unusual name. That is because my Mommy found me on the morning of July 4th, 2005. Therefore, Independence for the day and Jefferson for the man who wrote the Declaration of Independence. Generally I get called Indy or Snert(Daddy's name for me). I also have a middle name. It is Elias. Dr. Elias is the nice lady veterinarian who helped to save my life after the unfortunate dog incident.
I would also like to say thank you to all of you who have invited me to be friends. I do love friends.
