Super Powers Activate!February 28th 2012 12:41 am[ Leave A Comment | 9 people already have ]
Friends! Hello!
Leave A Comment | 9 people already have I'm a sort of scaredy cat like Leo, but I've met your Mommy, so now it's time for Leo to meet my MRS. Use your superpowers on him! What a pair of hypochondricats! My sister SooLing and I were not 'social' cats. When we had cat sitters to feed us, scoop litter, etc., they usually never saw us while they were in the house. But one "cat lady" knew how to make us come out. She'd come with a book to read, prepared to stay an hour or two if needed. She sat on the floor in the living room, reading to herself, aloud but quietly. Soon, our curiosity got the better of us and we'd come out to see what she was doing. She continued to read and didn't try to grab us and pet us or anything -- she just let us come to her if we wanted to. We learned to trust her voice and were not scared other times when she came to visit. The "noise" that usually accompanies visitors scares many cats. But Leo will probably be okay when the sitter stays overnight. She probably won't be noisy and he'll get used to her being there after a short time. But if he is scared, he'll likely do what cats do: come out during the night when it's dark and quiet. N herez one lucy; de cuzin dai$y..... her will be 9 yeers old onlee three peepuls haz seed her in this hole time naybors, relatives, friends oh de familee.... her iz like.... noe....takes off, hides N willna come outta hidin for any thing.... purrhaps ewe could use sum soooper powers on her knot ta be such a scared dee kitteh !!! Good luck with getting the boys more comfortable visitors. Teebo's a scaredy cat too. Enjoy the extra play time! I come out and observe things and peeps that are strange/new from a distance...Minko hides until the perceived threat is gone...woe is him when the 'threat' stays overnioight...and brings her dog, MOL! 2 of our angel furblings were not stranger shy at all and would come and greet them like that was a job they had, to be the welcoming committee! MOL! I hope things will be running smoothly at your den! First congrats on being a dreamette. I voted for you BTW. Now, that sounds like all great advice you got from jackson. He's so smart. Actually, in our family I'm like Charlie. I'll come out and see who it is but then don't trust enough to get close. Good luck with the sitter. Good to hear some news from you! |
